After using Becker’s Final Review for BEC and passing it on the first Attempt I thought the Final Review was a godsend. However, lately I’ve been feel like FAR and Audit’s Final Reviews aren’t as useful.

What worked for me w/ BEC was after covering the regular course 1x – regardless of my percentages on MC HW, I covered the Final Review in its entirety and then only went back to review any topics listed in the Final Review. Then if time allowed I would do more practice sets after a Final Review. Granted among all 4 exams BEC’s subjects were my strongest, I doubt I would have passed w/out it.

Has anyone discovered the best way or a personal preference to Utilize the FAR and AUDIT Final Reviews, that may contradict or defy BECKERS?

I used Becker's Final Review for REG. It was helpful for an overall review and I liked the way they walked through the simulations with explanations. I felt comfortable with the topics, unfortunately, I got nothing like them on my exam. Somehow I managed to pass. For FAR, I am going to save the money and skip the Final Review.

I think it depends on your proficiency in the subject.

I used Becker Final Review for BEC and AUD – loved both. But i'm good with concepts and finance.

Their final review gives a different perespective and level of MCQ is more difficult (so, don't freak out if you are doing them so-so, it's because they are naturally more difficult).

Don't know about other Becker final reviews yet – will take one for FAR Oct. 17.

Anna, would you say that both Becker standard product and final review together left you with no surprises on the exam?

    BlondeAccountant,

Definitely use Audit's Final Review for a general review prior to your exam. Its still a great way get a overall review (which is also VIP) accomplished before the exam.

I just wouldn't recommend anyone use it during the original course, as I did w/ BEC or REG, which helped me filter the must know thoroughly subjects from the rest of the material.

Prob because I never practice Sims, I was slightly surprised by the journal entries and independence.

    Goodluck

    Blondeaccountant (just like I am:-)),

mcq – no surprises. Parts of simulation that dealt with auditing concepts – no surprises. Just like others I had journal entries about which I had no clue – just put in random numbers without even looking into them. But I still was sure that I passed, cause I wrote good memos and did other parts of simulations. Overall, I think Becker is very good for auditing. Maybe good idea to study for FARE before taking AUD.
