I hate to come on A71 and complain and whine. I know everyone is making endless sacrifices for these exams and they are very, very difficult – no doubt.
However, I am really struggling with Becker’s materials for REG. Becker does a HORRENDOUS job explaining Basis and their TBS are crap too. Also, I have found many, many mistakes in their MCQ’s and a few TBS. Furthermore, Becker has done a TERRIBLE job allocating time spent on certain MCQ modules. I have absolutely NO IDEA why Becker focused so much time and energy on Business Law, rather than focusing on Taxation. The amount of MCQ’s Becker has in Business Law is just disgusting. They should take 200-300 of those MCQ’s and allocate them to Entity Taxation.
As a result of Becker’s mistakes, I have had to scour the Internet, the IRC, A71, and old documents to help me understand WTH I need to do for Taxation because clearly Becker does not cut it with this new Exam. I paid $3000+ and I expected a lot more than what I have received from Becker’s materials for that ridiculous price tag. I thought a “review course is all you need to pass these exams.” Im not so sure about that statement anymore. God, I wish I still had my old Tax books and homework from undergrad to get some clarification!
Okay, my rant is over, but I hope someone from Becker reads this. I know all I can do is study my ass off and scour the Internet for additional resources.
