I had been using the 2016 version, but since I decided to push my exam out to April, I switched to the 2017 version. I actually like it, but everything is a review for me since I've already taken the exam before. Its great for review and reinforcing information, but I don't know if its that great for people studying this stuff for the first time. I noticed that the 2016 format is more like how I learned in high school, but the 2017 version looks more like how my son is learning in school now – lots of video clips and more interaction than just clicking choice A, B, C, or D. It makes me feel a LOT more comfortable with the “scary” new exam format.
I do miss the ebook. I got a MCQ wrong and they just show their lame explanation as to why it was wrong. There was no quick way to skip back to that page in the material to get the full explanation and review that weak section. I signed out, signed back into the 2016 version, and got to it from there. Its a pain in the ass but faster than flipping through my over-highlighted paper book.
So, I downloaded the 2016 Becker app to my phone and I also downloaded the 2017 app to my phone. That way I can study both and toggle back and forth. When I study at my desk, I have the 2017 version on my laptop or work computer, and then on my phone I have the 2016 app open to the ebook for reference. I hope the 2016 version is still accessible for a while.
