I just wanted to know about the effectiveness of Becker material in your exam review as I am sitting for the exam in 2 months time.

save your $4000 and just study from wiley. If you can get your hand on a few video lectures here and there then do it.

Becker gives you all the tools you need to pass (I passed all four parts on the first try using Becker self-study). It depends on your learning style, though. Some people don't do well with the highlighting / underlining format that Becker uses. For me it worked out great because that's usually how I study anyway.

I think you just need to figure out which material best suits your needs. Everyone has their own way of studying and more importantly remembering the info. People who have had success will recommend it, those who failed a section will blast it. The same can be said for every product out there. My personal feeling is you get out what you put in, regardless of the product used or money invested. If it matters, I used Becker and while I will say the studying process was overkill, the results were great. Best of luck

Becker worked great for me. I come from the online schooling environment so the format was identical. I followed their program and passed all 4 parts on the first try (11 months). I had to put a lot of time in. I work full time, am married and I have two small children so it did take a lot of time away from my family, but it was worth it now that I am done.

I used Becker self-study and it has done a great job at preparing me for the exam. Becker does a great job at teaching to the test and emphasizing key topics that are likely to be heavily tested on the exam. If you do everything that Becker recommends (watch the lecture, work the MCQ and simulations, study flashcards, and do progress tests after completing each section), you will have no problem passing the exam.

I used Becker to study for the majority of the material and then downloaded the Wiley app on my phone which has over 1000 sample test bank questions. I thought the supplement was helpful because after a while the Becker materials seem to get repetitive, and became easy to memorize. I hope that helps.

I made two 74's on Regulation using just Becker I have been out of school for a while, so I needed more help. I just took the Regulation exam and supplemented with Wiley book, Wiley online, Ninja audio, and Ninja notes and I made a 86! For all of the CPA tests that I passed, I had to supplement. I tried to use only Becker for Regulation which did not work for me. You have to use what works for you. I would not recommend Becker alone based on my experience.
