I was feeling pretty good about FAR until I took my first final exam, now I dont know what to think. I didnt take them for reg or audit, and passed both with an 84, and 83. Glad to hear that I'm not the only one that thinks those exams are insane!

I have taken both Becker Practice Final Exam for AUD, FAR, & BEC and plan on taking the second one for REG tomorrow in preparation for my REG exam on Tuesday. I have yet to pass a single Becker Practice Exam. In my experience the Becker exams are much harder especially BEC.

Mpofu – Thanks for the push. I really need it. You would think I would be more motivated since this is my last exam but its like a marathon, I am just mentally exhausted from this journey. I spent 7 hours at my work studying todayand will the do the same tomorrow just to get away from the house and to have nothing but peace and quiet. I took a simulated exam, printed every wrong questions, read all the answers and then read the book on the section for the ones I missed. I then redid the First Becker Final Practice exam that I did last week and did so much better the second time around and to be honest with everyone, I thought had a terrible week of studying with only an hour each day and even skipped Wednesday not by choice worked till 8 PM. Maybe the break from studying was good for me. I plan on doing the 2nd Becker Practice Final Exam tomorrow and repeat my process of printing the quesiton, reading the answers and the reading the book. I am now in my CRAM phase where I schedule my exam on Tuesday and Study my butt off Saturday through Monday around 6-8 hours per day if not more. Well, I think I just needed to talk a little. Good Luck to you on the 5th and will let you know how I feel after the exam. Hopefully after Tuesday no more studying for me.

LEE I know how you feel, I'm taking BEC on monday and it's my last one (assuming I passed the FAR I took two weeks ago)…I”m just mentally dead and I've never been more nervous for a test. I felt like FAR was the worst out of all until I started BEC, the section I expected to be the easiest is just crushing me and for some reason I just feel like I won't pass. It seems like BEC is the most deceptive…these last few days are the toughest imo, all I can really say is try to think about tuesday when it's over for you, and monday for myself…good luck!

If you were taking FAR on sat, how would you spend the rest of your time studying? I never have a good strategy for the last week, I feel like doing becker mc questions take forever to get through. I need to do something that keeps everything fresh until I take it!

oh i know i hate becker MCQ, I finish 2 and I feel like I deserve a 30 minute break, especially with FAR…

To be honest if you finished studying the materials once you are way ahead of where I was…I did the last two chapters of FAR on the day before my exam, and only had an hour or so to review everything.

What I would do is go through every section of FAR and do like 1-5 MCQ from each subsection of each chapter (do more for the huge sections and less for the small sections), and pick them randomly, just to see how you are doing on those, I would also review the important parts in the book.

You have a whole week so that should be plenty of time to review every chapter thoroughly…i'm sure you will be fine 🙂

strider4216 – Thanks, Good Luck on BEC on Monday. I found BEC much easier than the Becker Final Exams. Keep plugging away and give it your all.

wvu593 – As far as the last week of studying, I would do progress test and simulated exam in Becker. They break the score down by section so if you are consistently scoring low in one area you can concentrate on that. I also try to do a self assessment on my weak areas for an exam. For me, in BEC it was overhead variance and in REG AMT is hard to get your arms around. When you miss a question, try to analyze the question in terms of the concept it is trying to convey, read all the answer to the question and hit the show text button (I know this is not perfect but it is pretty good most of the time) and read the section of the book that pertains to the topic. The day before or morning before your exam study that one part that is your weakest of your weak areas. Good Luck.

Lee_IN- thanks, I've never used either of those features, maybe I will give them a try. I've come to the realization that there are some topics that I'm just not going to understand, hopefully I dont see much of those topics on the exam. I was scheduled to take the exam tomorrow, but moved it to feb 6th. I really wish I didnt't reschedule so I could get this thing over with.

wvu593 – I have consistently used those Becker features and honestly that is one of things I like about the software. It allows you to test yourself as you progress through the material to see if you are retaining anything. This past week I strangled with the idea of moving my exams due to a poor week of studying and finally decided against it. I cramming this weekend and will take off work tomorrow and take exam on Tuesday. The other reason I did not want to move my exam is I doubt I could get a date prior to the wave 1 cutoff. I want to have a shot at wave 1. Moving your exam to Feb 6 could push you to wave two. Jeff predicts wave 1 cutoff on Feb 5 due to the short month (28 days). But I know how you feel, since I have moved my exams in the past for various reasons. It is better to delay if you feel that a few extra days will help than to fail and pay another exam fee. Good Luck studying and on the exam. I will pass on my feelings on the exam Tuesday evening.

I think the Final exams are useful tools…I just try not to put too much weight on my actual scores on them. When I took the financial one, I couldn't even get past the first couple of testlets, and basically had a tiny panic attack. Then I turned out passing the actual exam. I just use them as a guide to maybe teach myself some of the items I may have missed in my review.

is there a difference in the pass rates for wave 1 or 2? or is it just when you receive you scores?

    BEC: Done
    REG: Done
    AUD: Done
    FAR: Done

    I'M DONE!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I scored 75-80 on the 2 AUD final exams and ended up with a 94 on the actual test.

I scored 72-74 on the REG final exams and take the exam in about 2 hours. I'm hoping the same holds up.

This was me taking my total MC % correct and multiplying by .7 and then taking % correct on the Simulations and multiplying by .2. Basically, weighing by question type and adding no points for the written.
