Did anyone use the Becker flashcards for reviewing all the materials for FAR? If so, did they help reinforce the concepts learned better than just reading through books? Honest input would be greatly appreciated…

waste of money.

I have Roger and i think the flashcards costed like an additional $150 per section. I regretted it. Wished i would have spent that money on a final review or an MCQ testbank instead.

I read through them once, it took like 1~2 hours. Didn't really learn anything, was very high level and basically just a bunch of definitions of terms from the book. Didn't even include all the mnemonics from the book 🙁

Hope Becker flashcards are better and at least include all of the mnemonics from the book.

@Big4BeanCounter I used Becker flashcards for all 4 sections, but probably used them most for FAR and AUD. For FAR, I found them helpful for review, after finishing each chapter (reading the textbook, watching lectures, doing all HW). For FAR, specifically, I found the flashcards MOST beneficial in the Governmental accounting and Not-for-Profit sections. Since those sections involved little to no math, and were heavily tested, the flash cards were a life-safer. So many mnemonics. I remember just going for long walks with my stack of flash cards, and quizzing myself.

When I purchased the flash cards – way back in Spring 2015 – it was $99 for all 4 sections combined.

Thank you guys for the responses! I already have the flashcards because my firm covered for them so I guess I'll use them as remembering some of the important concepts, but I'll have to work through the Progress Tests questions to get the details of these concepts down.

For some reason electronic flashcards don't work for me. I like my own homemade ones:)

I bought them – total waste of money. They're too long, can't be memorized and I learned better writing my own. All it was was the text in flash card form.
