Becker BEC Writing SIMs worth practicing?

Just started studying for BEC, which will hopefully be my last exam. I am giving myself ample time to prepare using Becker. I was wondering whether it is worth it to practice any of the writing prompts that Becker offers in their practice. Seems to be very time consuming and just not worth the effort given the fact that they can’t actually grade your response. It also seems unlikely that practicing will help prepare me for my prompts on the actual exam. I would say that I’m a fairly strong writer and have seen the usual tips for approaching the written sims on the exam, so I doubt I would need help preparing using Becker.

Has anybody practiced the written sims with Becker, or any other review course for that matter? Did you find it helpful at all or was it just a waste of time?

I didn't practice at all but did find the SkillMaster videos for the written response questions incredibly helpful. The becker staff walks you through the thought process and outline for a bunch of different written response questions. If you are at least an average writer, you shouldn't have any problem on the written questions. It's just a matter of being able to put together a 5-paragraph essay that you learned how to write in middle school. After seeing the prompt, think about it and put together a basic outline for your response. You more or less have it licked from there. You do have to think a little more about time management on BEC; I submitted mine with 1 minute to spare and finished all the others with around 45 minutes of exam time remaining. The written questions do take up a bunch of time so make sure to keep a good pace on the MCQ.
