I have watched the Becker lecture for BEC chapter 5. When going through the MCQ’s the first time on this chapter, is it normal to have no clue how to begin working the problem? After I work them, it makes sense. But at first, it’s like a maze. Thank you.

It was quite difficult as I recall and now that I just checked my Becker homework for BEC,I see that I scored my lowest ever (first time around) on the financial models used for operating decisions part of lecture 5. As long as you can understand the answer and how to get to it, you should be fine. Most of the actual questions that you'll see on the test will not be as complicated, and if you take the 2 Becker final exams and do decently on them (~70-80), you should be fine.

I had the same issue when I went through it. I finally went through the lecture again and just watched one topic then moved over and did the MC questions before moving on to the next topic. I watched the part on the OH variances 6 or 7 times and wrote it out on a white board many times.

Yea, the second section of MCQ's in chapter five are killing me. The unit cost and equivalent costs are not so bad, but theirs a couple of MCQ's in that bunch that are ridiculous.
