I have failed audit twice with a 70 and was wondering if I should look at buying gleim test bank sims or another software to practice sims. This is the only section I am having problems with and was wondering if people have done well on audit using Becker or have any advice for dealing with subjective sims?

Even though I am very familiar with audit due to my job, I still found transaction cycles and related audit procedures hard to get through. I would suggest that if it's the “subjective” sims you are having issue with, it's likely Chapter 4 of Becker. I would supplement Becker with Ninja, should help take you over the edge.

Yes, Becker is good enough. If it wasn't, it certainly wouldn't generate the premium it does (over $3,000 at its lowest discounted price vs. $800-$1300 for a similar package from the competition). My co-worker had the opposite problem: after failing AUD multiple times, he paid over $1,000 just for AUD and passed his first time.

That said, Becker may not be the best option for everybody. If you feel this is you, try demos/trials for competing products and purchase the one that fits you best.

Are you giving yourself enough prep time? I've found that the progress tests and final exam scores are pretty indicative of how well you'll do on the exam itself.

I passed all 4 exams first try within 6 months using only Becker, no “Becker Final Review” or any other supplemental material. I paid full price out of my own pocket. It cost a lot, but I wanted this to be over with in as little time as possible. That's not to say other programs aren't good, this is just my own experience.

@drumstick – I have better and just starting out. Did you follow the entire program? any other tips

AUD - 73(Gleim only), 79(Becker Only)

BEC- 67, 58(Gleim only), 71 (Becker) 😢

REG- 50 (Gleim only, totally unprepared), retake - April 2018 (Used Becker, Becker Final Review plus Ninja Monthly)

I have given myself plenty of time (enough to go through the material twice) and I will say I struggle with certain audit procedures and internal control/segregation of duties…it seems like I can't understand it that well with becker, especially when I get to the sims all of the answers sound right
