AUD Becker Mocks – WTF

It’s been a month and a half of studying and solid review of all AUD topics from Becker CPA Review, with consistent 80%s on 36 mcq progress tests along the way. However, I began doing the Becker AUD Mocks and I’m consistently scoring low 60%s on the mcq testlets. The Mock descriptions say they’re representative of the actual exam, and so now I’m freaking out since I’m taking the exam this Thursday 9/6.

    HELP! THANKS

I'm in the same boat! My exam is this Friday. I took the first two becker mock exams and got a 69 and 63 on each of them. I think that the becker mock exams tend to be harder than the exam but they do help with determining which sections you need to brush up on and how much time you have.

    FAR - 78

    AUD - 75

    BEC - 83

    REG - 82

I wouldn't worry too much about Becker mocks. I found them to be a confidence killer and quit taking them towards the end. I know I failed BEC about 2 days before I took the real one. May be useful if you have been through all the other material, or if you haven't previously sat through a full-length exam, but otherwise I think they tend to be unrealistically difficult.

I took AUD on 8/27 and was in the same boat. I was scoring around 78-80% on progress tests and scored 66, 64, and a 73 on the mock exams with mid to high 60% scores on the mcq sections. I agree with @Lam2848 that the Becker mock exams are harder than the actual exam and should be used more to find out what topics need to be brushed up on. I also felt like the mcqs on the actual test were more like the normal Becker mcqs and not the ones on the mock exam. If you put the studying time in, I feel like you should be ok for the actual test. Good luck, guys!

If it makes you feel any better, I took two of the Becker mock AUD exams the weekend before the real test and got in the 60s and low 70s on both. I ended up with an 89 on the actual exam. Don't let the score discourage you, just read and learn from the mistakes you make while practicing.

the multiple choice in the Becker Mock exams is so much more difficult than the real thing…. The SIMS make for a good practice…But I would spend time on the AICPA practice test instead. It has 5 SIMS and you can check the “feedback” function to see what you did wrong…

Took Becker mock exam for audit 1 week out……and got a 72 which killed my confidence. Then I took a NINJA practice exam and got a 82. Ended up with a 96 on the actual. Don't sweat the mock exam results too much.

    AUD - 96
    BEC - 91
    FAR - 88
    REG - 94
