Hi so after taking 7 credit hours through Beckers joint program with Keller Graduate School of Business, which is supposed to give you credit hours, well the Florida Board just told me they won’t accept them. It apparently doesn’t matter that they fall under the required accreditations.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

They also said CLEP tests and courses at community college won’t count for upper level accounting hours.

I believe the Florida college system has some kind of website/database that links you to all online course offerings at various Florida state universities. This may be a good way to find various online upper level accounting courses to take. I know this won't help you get them any faster, but I imagine doing courses online would be easier than taking them at a university.

Also, when picking out courses, make sure they aren't duplicates of ones you already have but slightly different names. I found courses in forensic accounting pretty easy. However, something like advanced financial accounting or advanced auditing might provide more benefit in helping you pass the CPA exam (provided you haven't already).

I am a Florida CPA, so I was looking into some of these options myself. However, I needed the additional full 30, so I got a MACC.

    Good luck!
