Just got my score release for trash ass AUD. I’m not an auditor so it’s hard to put real world examples in my head when dealing with choosing the “best” answers. It’s trash and garbage. I’ll stop venting now. I passed FAR recently with a 78 and failed AUD with a 72. I really want to pass AUD so I can move on to more meaningful exams that I have passed already. Sorry for being so angry I’m just annoyed that a conceptual exam is giving me such a hard time and was the reason I had to start over my CPA exam process. Any tips? I’m using Surgent. And I’m patiently waiting on my score breakdown

I can relate to your frustration, as I too am currently re-studying for AUD, and received a 73 on the prior score release. It is very difficult, one word changes the question in its entirety. You were close, and now is the time to be honest. Was there any section or sections that you just hated and avoided?

I've failed AUD multiple times now, with scores in the low 60s. I found making an effort to be able to explain each answer choice has really helped me understand the concepts a lot better. This might go against the grain here, I've also found practicing SIMs to be helpful in reinforcing topics. I would also suggest, go back and re-read or re-watch lectures on topics that you struggled with, and just continue doing MCQs and doing your best to understand the material. You'll get it next time!
