    Hello,

I have a general question regarding a course I took long time ago in college. It was titled ” ACCT 201 Essentials of Accounting” and more recently I took “Intro to Financial Accounting” and “Intro to Managerial Accounting” at a different institution.

My question is would all 3 of these courses count towards the CPA exam and license even though they are similar?

    I appreciate the assistance.

As far as I know Financial and Managerial accounting don't count towards the CPA exam criteria, they would for the 150 credit though.

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

I can't believe this is over! 2 years and 3 months..

I would personally contact your state board, i did that when i asked about if community college credits would count. I sent them an email during a holiday weekend and they got back to me within 2 days. I told them my situation, and they were super helpful. You gotta remember, you are their customers, so they're fine giving support for somewhat subjective questions like that.
