Hello guys I’m re taking BEC next month and wanted to know your strategies when scheduling an exam. I didn’t feel 100% ready for BEC but I took because I had already scheduled it. I kinda wanna wait this time and schedule it until I know I’m ready but what if there are not open seats or what if I never feel ready. Any suggestions??

I started “studying” for FAR – which is to say I started reading the book – before I scheduled my exam date, but I did not get serious about studying until after the date was on the calendar.

Aside from the motivation factor of having a deadline, if you want your pick of exam dates/times, you need to get your NTS and get on the calendar early. You'll find that there are certain times within the window that fill up quickly. The first weekend and last weekend of the window are very popular because a lot of people try to take two exams within the same window by spacing them two months apart. The weekend before the first score release is also very popular because you can get your score within 8 to 10 days of taking the exam, rather than waiting a month, as you'd have to do if you took the exam early in the testing window.
