How do you stay motivated? And how do you pick yourself up and move forward?

And specifically, what is your amended study strategy? Anything less than a 75 is a 0, but you can’t possibly repeat the same schedule, can you?

BTW – the title to this thread is meant to be absolute, positive reinforcement – like “The Biggest Loser”.

    Fall 7 times – get up 8 🙂

    Thanks!

Before graduating in 2010, the school counselor added up my credits and told me that by delaying my graduation by one quarter, I'd have enough credits to sit for the CPA exam. And so began my journey…My signature tells part of the story. What it doesn't say is that all but two attempts were prior to 2014. I was throwing good money, that I didn't have, at an exam I wasn't prepared for. My first couple scores were in the 50s, then the 60s. I had a 74 early on, but it took until my 11th attempt to get a pass. By 2014, I had two exams passed, but still needed FAR and REG with only a few months until my first expiration. Without much regret, I put the CPA exam on hold. In late 2015 I was finally able to get an accounting job. Fast forward a few years, and with renewed energy, I'm back to pass all 4!
@46inchvert, thank you for your great story! Lots of inspiring stories in this thread. I'm seeing the persistence pay off in the end.
