AUD or FAR next? Advice needed!

I am just thinking out loud a little here, but I take REG on 4/7/14. After that, well practically immediately after that, I will be studying for my next exam and I have roughly 8 weeks until May 30, when I planned to take the next exam. So far, I have AUD scheduled for May 30, and the NTS for AUD expires on 9/6/14.

Then, I was planning on taking FAR last on 8/30/14, but I haven’t applied for an NTS for FAR yet. My study plan for the last exam was to get through as many lectures and notes as I could during the month of June and first week of July, take the rest of July off for my wedding and honeymoon, and that leaves me with 4 weeks in August when I return from our honeymoon to study and review before taking what is hopefully my last exam.

Do you think I should switch things up and take FAR at the end of May and AUD at the end of August? Which material do you think would be best having a break in the middle? And which exam do you think would be easiest? My initial thoughts were that AUD would be easier and it might be nice to take that one before the wedding to ensure passing 3 parts by my wedding day, but the more I think about it, perhaps I should take FAR at the end of May instead and leave the easier one for when we return from our honeymoon. It sounds like AUD is a lot of concept material, and I’m thinking that perhaps that would be the material that would be best broken up for that part of July.

My BEC credit expires on 2/28/15, and I wanted to complete my exams by the end of August just in case I didn’t pass some – then I’d have two testing windows left to retake any exams. Also, by scheduling FAR for the end of May, I would be forced to take all of these exams relatively quickly and I wouldn’t be tempted to push it back any farther, which would allow me to (hopefully) be certified very soon after the wedding and I wouldn’t have to be studying an entire half of our first year of marriage!

Like I said, a lot of thinking out loud, but I could really use some advice here!

    BEC - 78 (8/30/13)
    REG - 73 (1/31/14) - 76 (4/7/14)
    ***GETTING MARRIED 7/19/14***
    FAR - after the wedding
AUD - also after the wedding

I like the plan of taking FAR at the end of May. It has so much material to cover that it would probably be a better fit time-wise for that slot, and AUD would probably fit better into the August slot. It has a lot less material. Plus it's generally recommended to take FAR first and then AUD, since some of the FAR accounting knowledge is useful for AUD.

    Good luck on REG!

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

I asked the same question last December and A71 community suggested that I take FAR before AUD. it was the best suggestion I got!! FAR gives me good fundamental knowledge for AUD. it helps me understand relationship between each account. I got one AUD sim that looks like it could be FAR sim. I really believe that I passed AUD because I took FAR first.

    BEC - 10/1/13 PASS
    REG - 12/6/13 PASS
    FAR - 1/21/14 PASS
    AUD - 2/27/14 PASS

Thank you both so much for your advice! I think I will take FAR first and get that one out of the way and then take AUD at the end of August. I am feeling a lot better about this decision after hearing from you both. Thanks so much!

    BEC - 78 (8/30/13)
    REG - 73 (1/31/14) - 76 (4/7/14)
    ***GETTING MARRIED 7/19/14***

AUD - also after the wedding
