As in, studying is getting harder and harder. I was fortunate enough to pass FAR and Audit last window. Now I’m finishing up my BEC studying and am having trouble focusing. I used to be able to put in 5 hours per day, now it’s just starting to become a huge struggle. I will start reading and my mind will just think of completely unrelated topics. Any tips/advice for this problem?

I saw this and thought it would be about busy season.

    Still, my answer stands: YES.

    FAR - 79 (11/27/13)
    AUD - 76 (2/1/14)
    REG - 77 (5/30/14)
    BEC - 88 (7/18/14)

    MN Ethics - 100% (3/9/14)

    AND DONE! 8/1/14

Definitely. I have had a hard time studying for FAR in the past few weeks. Busy season has really ramped up over March and I'm just too exhausted to put in the study hours that I used to (and that is required) for this exam. I'm thinking about pushing it back, because I”m not sure how ready I am going to be by May..

I'm having a difficult time studying when I'm home. It helps to get myself to the library, I feel like I can focus much better there and there's no distractions, aside from the smell of old books and occasional odd smell.

    FAR 75
    AUD 74, 82
    REG 58, 74, 83
    BEC 68, 75
    Licensed 7.1.14!!!

Lots of caffeine, I tend to quit the the month immediately after the exam when my anxiety is high, then ramp into it the month before an exam….not great on the body, but perhaps I could do worse?

I'm very burned out, and my last pass of AUD was shockingly discouraging, I felt I studied up to at least an 85 and I squeaked with a 75, I feel like I have very little chance with FAR. I'm doing my best to get as many questions in, and trying to shake it up with how I study the notes, Blitz!, and videos, keep myself on my toes and focus on these problem topic areas (most of them…)

    REG- (1) 76
    FAR- (2) 64, (5)74, (7)83 (Over achiever!)
    AUD- (3) 70, (4) 75
    BEC- (6) 75

I have been really burnt out the past couple days studying FAR that it started to affect my MCQ performance, looking at those for countless hours after 2 straight weeks was hell, so I decided to rewrite notes and do sets of 30 for what I have rewritten thus far every so often during my rewriting. I consider my notes very good because I basically outlined the whole Wiley book so rewriting and seeing all the material again not in MCQ form actually was kind of refreshing. Maybe try that and switch it up to get you going again and up the confidence, because that's what it's all about

As I approached the final weeks of preparing for each exam, my mind began to wander frequently. I wouldn't be too worried about it. It's not exactly thrilling information we're reading, so I imagine mind-wandering is pretty common.

As for finding a way to push through, I think a failing score was my biggest motivator. I printed out the NASBA home screen with my failing score on it and posted it in my office, right next to the monitor. My eyes would fall on that score constantly everyday. By the end of the day, I was thoroughly angry with seeing that score. I was eager to get home and study ASAP to redeem myself. It's kind of silly, but getting angry works. For me, at least.

Congrats on the first two and best of luck on the others!
