Love the stats! Interesting that the are more new candidates than those passing their last exam.

@San4596–That actually makes sense to me. Think about how many people start the process, but never finish. I can only imagine how many people take one exam and think….no thank you. 🙂

CPAMom – I actually know of some people who sat a couple of times, and could not handle it anymore. They have also stayed in the accounting field, and a quite content with themselves. On the other hand, I also know many people who have never taken the next step because of the difficulty of the exam. We choose to go further in our career.

San – I plan on taking FAR and either AUD or REG in Q2. I'm hemming and hawing on the second exam because the material that I have will be good until the middle of the year when tax law changes and I've spent a ton (for my family and our budget anyway) on CPA prep stuff.

Oh well, If nothing else, I can try and talk my wife into grabbing myself a Wiley book with the updated info.
