Go for it. You come 1st and your job comes 2nd. Working for your company doesn't mean that they bought you and control you. Jobs will ALWAYS come and go but, finding that special someone is far harder.
@Reverie when I was single, I sometimes felt little crushes here and there with co-workers. I never acted on them; I'm kind of glad I didn't, because it'd be very awkward if we broke up but still worked together. I guess it depends on the situation. If you feel good about it, go for it.
Don't fish off the company pier unless you are willing to transfer to a different position/unit/job.

Anytime there is a limited pool of “candidates” in your immediate surroundings, the hot ones appear 2-3 factors hotter due to limited competition.
