So I’m retaking AUD sometime in Jan (haven’t decided yet) and I’m unsure what to do next. I hear a lot of people suggest getting FAR out of the way asap. I dug a little bit into FAR but oh my word.. it’s boring! Not to mention my motivation was nowhere to be found after taking the first exam. Basically I’d have to restart on FAR.

So is still probably smart to try and tackle FAR next or would BEC or REG be a more feasible option?

Thanks for the feedback @ixlr82day I really appreciate it. I think I'm gonna leave FAR for the end, probably go AUD>BEC>REG>FAR. Personally the hardest part is getting started. Once I get into the swing of things, holy.. I'm a monster lol, but getting there is pretty difficult. I think getting the first 3 out of the way and tackling the hardest one with a looming deadline could be what I need.

I'll probably be around here so we'll see how it goes haha.. the 69 on AUD was pretty discouraging today, I was very confident I passed. At least my timer hasn't started yet I guess

For me BEC and REG are strong areas because I do some IT/FIN and I am in tax. By no means are these areas the easiest sections of the exam. I felt AUD was sort of easy due to my higher than expected scores with the amount of studying I put in. I took a week long trip to Vegas (Bacc. party) with my friends a couple weeks before my AUD exam. I failed but did better than expected.

Another tip I can offer is be very careful with your time. Again my way isn't for everyone but I was careful with MC. I tried to take a minute per question. I would guess on the questions I didn't know and then marked them for review at the end of the testlet. I thought if I didn't know the answer in a minute or two there is no way I will know the answer staring at it for longer. My trending scores and avg scores were horrible in Becker and Ninja. I think in the 50's-60's. I stopped doing MC two weeks before the exam and mostly copied notes, read, and reviewed videos/SIM questions and solutions.

I think I got most of my points on the sims. The answers are there in the AL or if you take the time to really sort out the question. It may take hours but I think most sims people can give a good faith attempt. Also they give partial credit…and I dont think they give that on mc.

    Hope this helps!

    AUD - 76
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 79
    REG - 84

Forgot to add that a lot of people feel FAR before AUD is the way to go. Some sims on AUD are from FAR and the FAR content may help people understand AUD concepts. It may have helped me because I did pass AUD after I studied for FAR. It went AUD-FAIL, FAR-FAIL, AUD-PASS, FAR-PASS.

    Good luck!

    AUD - 76
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 79
    REG - 84

As others have said, take the hardest one first. That means whichever you find is harder for you, get it out of the way. I tried doing FAR first but failed and took other exams so I didn't have to take them in the new format. If I would do it again, I'd probably do REG > FAR > AUD > BEC. This is because both REG and FAR have a lot of material, but REG is much more random with all the tax things, whereas FAR knowledge will help with AUD. BEC, being the easiest for me personally, would be almost like a treat after getting the two big ones out of the way.

I would recommend to get FAR out of the way. I saved this for last and thought since I passed the other three, I would be extra motivated to pass this last exam. Nope, I was super exhausted by then and ended up retaking.

I would say FAR then AUD to start with. These are the only two I have taken, but like everyone says, FAR has so much material, you don't want that eating into your 18 month window. Also, I followed advice I found here regarding FAR concepts spilling over into AUDIT. Personally, I'm going for BEC next instead of REG because I'll be into the busy season and hope to sit for it just as the season really starts to pick up, otherwise I would have probably opted for REG.

However, aside of the general consensus that FAR has the most material (and perhaps most spillover into other sections), from what I see I think exam section difficulty is incredibly subjective so you kind of just have to go for it.
