So I emailed the CBA and asked if this class qualifies for the new “Minimum 3 semester units in accounting ethics or accountants professional responsibilities”?

    MGMT G140 – Bus & Organizational Ethics

    Course Description:
An examination of the most prominent issues of business ethics and the major positions and arguments on these issues.

They replied: In response to your e-mail we are unable to pre qualify any courses. The new requirements are very specific however with minimum 3 semester or 4 quarter units in accounting ethics or accountants professional responsibilities.

Although they weren’t able to answer my question, I’d like to try my luck here. Do you think this class would qualify for that requirement? I took this class in hopes of fulfilling the requirement (after the new changes in 1.1.2014) but now they’ve changed those requirements.

I doubt they will sub it… especially since most schools are altering their accounting programs and creating accounting ethics courses just for the requirement.

The CBA is extremely picky and stringent on what they accept.

Almost always from my phone... please excuse my typos!

I really doubt they'll accept it. I'm sure they'll want to either see it in the title of the course (and it doesn't say so) or be described as accounting ethics in the syllabus you can send them. So, not all “ethics” are created equal.
