Jan_in_WIParticipantjhein – Looks like you were more right than any of us! Does anyone think we'll get the scores this week, or is it more likely they won't be released until January?
FAR - 94 (7/10)
AUD - 99 (8/20)
REG - 99 (10/15)
BEC - 88 (11/20)December 27, 2010 at 8:35 pm #276102
AnonymousInactiveUnless jhein023 knows something we don't, I think we'll have to wait until January…jhein023, is your prediction of Dec 28 based on past experience?
This whole thing is just ridiculous!

07STIParticipant@ jhein023 – I didn't doubt that it would be the end of the month or January…All I said was that I hoped we would get the scores by the end of last week, but that I wasn't holding my breath.
This is really dumb. Based on the way WI typically released scores, I could see how it took longer. There were always scores still coming in a few days, or even a week, after the scores were originally released. However, all scores for this window were released by a week ago (or longer?).

AnonymousInactiveI called NASBA today and asked why my OASIS stated that I should receive my score notice within 10 business days and I haven't received anything. (Even though I know it really hasn't been 10 “BUSINESS” days) The woman I spoke to said that the earliest WI would release scores would be the 31st of December. I told her that the wave was closed and that I didn't understand why it was taking so long. She said that she couldn't do anything and she didn't know why I was getting that message because notices for WI have not been released.

WISCOJAKEParticipantJake:
Release will not be until the 1st week of January.

Direct from Geneva in a reply to my e-mail on 12/15. BEC scores were first released on Tuesday the 14th and according to the AICPA tweets the window was closed on 12/16. So I don't even want to get my hopes up until next week.
This process is broke.

AnonymousInactiveVery frustrating! I'm having a difficult time focusing. Since I can re-register for Auditing, I've been studying for that with the intent to retake it as soon as possible in January since it is still pretty fresh in my mind. I also did not pass FAR in October so I want to try and study for that as well for February. According to Jeff, these are the two exams to try and pass in the first testing window for 2011. Is anyone else in the same boat? What are your studying plans?
December 27, 2010 at 10:38 pm #276107
GrizzlythoughtsParticipantCPAGreen,
We had the exact same experience. I got a 74 on FAR in OCT adn can now re-register for AUD that I sat for at the end of November. I'll probably also try and take AUD again first then I'm not sure. I picked up the 2011 Wiley Book for AUD but I'm having trouble kicking myself back into studying gear. Hopefully I'll get the motivation soon.

sleeplessinWIParticipantSince I can register for audit i am guessing i didn't pass. I am planning on studying this coming weekend since i have Thurs – Sun off then get my NTS as soon as i can and retake. Since I was getting 85-100 on my practice tests before i took audit last time I am hoping I don't have much to study. I am still getting 80's on the practice tests now after 6 weeks off from studying. i need to get it taken soon because January is super busy for me at work and then tax season starts. It is my first year doing tax season since my promo in July so I need to be able to concentrate on that.
I was really hoping for our scores to be released tomorrow night but that doesn't sound like it will happen now. It would sure be nice if someone could figure out who is in charge of this racket and get them to change it. We shouldn't have to wait so long for our scores. We pay the same as everyone else does and get horrible service! (venting!)
REG,BEC,FAR - PASS, AUD 70, retake 4/26/11 85
If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.

Jayz11ParticipantI tried emailing here to figure out this disaster of a process, not sure if this is correct or not:

I think we can all guess the response…none.

AnonymousInactive@mike01 – Good idea! This is crazy. At this point we are talking weeks of studying that could be missed by not having our scores. If WI is going to release the scores so late then they should extend the 18 month period.
@07STI- I have access to the 2011 Becker materials online since I purchased 2010 less than 6 months ago and so far there has been very little changes that Becker has presented in chapter 1. I started reviewing chapter 2 last night and I noticed that Becker does break out Compilations into 2 sections for those who will take the exam before June 2011 and after June 2011. What materials are you using?
@Jayz11- Thanks for emailing. Can't hurt to try.
December 28, 2010 at 5:37 pm #276113
Jan_in_WIParticipantI've said this before, but I don't understand why WI releases scores so late and who it benefits. Obviously, it is possible to release scores sooner, as other states are doing so. In terms of benefits, Wisconsin candidates certainly aren't on the receiving end. In fact, Wisconsin candidates are at a disadvantage as compared to other states in that they must wait longer to make plans for future testing. Weeks without knowledge of pass/fail = weeks without knowledge of whether or not one should be restudying a failed section or working on a new section. I don't understand why Wisconsin would choose to put its own candidates at a disadvantage. The AICPA closed this window weeks ago, and not only are we still waiting on our scores, but nothing is posted by WI as to when scores should be expected.

WI_11Participant@JANINWI_ I completly agree, we need to be directing all this conversation to the WDRL. After I pass all the exams(fingers crossed) I plan on writing a letter to the WDRL to give them my thoughts. I would hope if others do the same, maybe we can change the process at least in the future? Its just unfair plain and simple
AUD 89
BEC 84
