First two tests= no red panties. Failed.

Last four tests= red panties. Passed.

I started mentally referring to them as my CPAnties.

I don't own any panties, red or otherwise… maybe my wife will let me borrow a pair. I'm just not sure what I'd say if she asked me why…

    AUD - 65, 78 - 11/2012
    BEC - 76 - 11/2012

hahaha this is a funny thread. Put a bunch of people together all under an excruciating amount of pressure and funny stuff pops up. I'm not superstitious but I find the idea of sharing a common superstition on test day interesting. I haven't taken one yet, still mapping out my plan but I think little things like this might help take the edge off come exam day. Taking the edge off is half the exam day prep battle…

Crazy, silly, superstitious, whatever, it worked for me!!! Wore the panties and got an 85 on audit. That and studying my butt off… But I studied my butt off for FAR twice with a resulting 74 both times sans red panties… I will be wearing them for my rematch at the end of the month. Yes, the cpa exam has turned me into someone who believes in lucky underwear.

    AUD - 85
    BEC - 75
    FAR - 74, 74 (really?!), 79!!!!!!!!
    REG - 79

Hmmm this is interesting, however, I wonder what the true success rate of the red panties is…66 posts about how they “helped” people pass, but how many wore their best valentines day special butt floss and tanked the exam? Who's gonna step up?? 🙂

Tighty whiteys, jeans and an ARMY T-Shirt from my big bro stained with Hawaiin red dirt from all of his hard work:

I wonder how long before this thread helps someone pass and also gets them fired.

Wore red panties (with white polka dots) and passed BEC with a 76. I didn't get my AUD score, but wore red panties and left the testing center with a BIG smile on my face!

Wore red panties for AUD for the 4 times I took it and failed. Just took it for a 5th time last Saturday and wore yellow panties this time. Maybe yellow panties are my good luck charm…we'll see come 2/22.

    AUD - 88!!! DONE!!!!!!!!

Anyone else just like reading the word “panties” posted by various members over and over in this thread?

Now that's what I'm talkin about, MCLKT. Nice score. I think this thread is a perfect example of the correlation vs causation fallacy. Smart individuals who just studied hard, but attributed their success instead to panties. Placebo effect, perhaps? The mind is a powerful tool. Congrats to everyone that passed!
