My favorite was my mom’s text message this morning–“Sorry. I was hoping it did not post when i didn’t hear from you. I still love you”.

To which I responded– “good to know your love isn’t contingent on me passing.”

What other things have people said to you all?

    REG-80, 77, 77
    BEC-67, 68, 71, 67, 71, 74, 71, 74, 72, 77
FAR- 72, 65,67, 53, 75 (truth be known the 53 was with 4 hours of studying)
    AUD-58, 62, 72, 74, 74, 75
took 5 years but I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    After my 74 on FAR….

“Don't worry, you were so close it's not like you have to study much more.”

Apparently they don't realize how much material they can choose from!!! I've shown a couple people my FAR book to get them to stop saying I don't really need to study much more.

You're still studying? It's been like 2 years.

Maybe you should just quit. It's not worth your happiness.

My father in law said…”when I study for a test, I over study so I don't fail.” It's a good thing I love his son.

The absolute worst comment was from a Californian with a BS in Accounting. She told my that I should be lucky that I'm taking the Nevada test, as the California test and license requirements are higher. I wanted to flatten her. She was so far off base that I just walked away.

Hahaha! I had a similar thing happen to me. They said it was a good thing that I am taking the NY test because the NJ test is so much harder.

I have several people at work who are taking it…..no one has managed a part passed yet. I really kind of feel bad, almost like survivor's guilt, for effectively whizzing through them.

I always feel for them because I failed my fair share of the exams. I know how it feels.

I've found there really is nothing you can say that will make a person feel better. I just basically say “I'm sorry, I've been there many times”.

When people pass, I makde darned sure not to trivialize it. Because it is the hardest thing I have ever done and I'd say that I am what most people consider a high achiever. I make sure to really make a big deal of it and not trivialize it by saying “well I knew you would pass it”.

“well I knew you would pass it”. That's a horrible statement. It trivializes what we've been through. I took 26 sections of this miserable exam and except for maybe 2 of them I had no idea whether I passed or not until I got the grade. So by someone saying “I knew you would pass it” that just makes it seem like a foregone conclusion.
