jdj017400MemberMy bet is on Tuesday or later. Those of you waiting on BEC will probably wait the longest, due to the writing portion.
FAQ via the AICPA website:
Q. Are there any differences in score release by Exam section (AUD, FAR, REG, BEC)?
A. Yes. Candidates who take the BEC section may get their scores in a subsequent release due to additional analyses that may be required for the written communication tasks. Also note that written communication tasks now appear in the BEC section only.
BEC - 80 (11/30/2010), Lost Credit - Retake 11/30/2012, 80 (FINISHED!)
AUD - 71 (05/31/2011), 79 (08/28/2011)
REG - 70 (11/30/2011), 87 (02/09/2012)
FAR - 61 (5/31/2012), 80 (08/31/2012)December 9, 2011 at 4:40 pm #326800
wendy12x12MemberWhat I was told was EVEN if they received more scores today, they would probably not input into their online system until Monday, which would update overnight on Monday. The person I spoke to said pretty emphatically that if we didn't have them already, we wouldn't see them until Tuesday morning. :o( But at this point, I don't think anyone knows what the REAL deal is–not NASBA, not TSBPA, and certainly not all of us poor, nervous wrecks!
FAR: 11/26 81!! Thank you Prof. Hoyle & cpareviewforfree!
AUD: 2/26 73*, 4/20 66 (AICPA approved free re-do: 8/12--waiting)
BEC: 1/15 82!! Wiley & cpareviewforfree
REG: 5/13 66, 7/22--waiting!
(exclamation points due to the complete surprise of passing)

txcb36MemberI emailed the board this morning asking when they would be released and she told me “Hopefully next week.” THIS IS RIDICULOUS
FAR - 75
AUD - 79
BEC - Jan/Feb
REG - Jan/FebDecember 9, 2011 at 4:46 pm #326803

The “additional analysis” is referring to the writing portion of BEC. Basically it's saying the scoring can't be as automated like the other sections that don't have a writing portion.
It has nothing to do w/ borderline or not. Keep in mind BEC used to be only (100%) multiple choice (when I took it), until the 2011 change.

AnonymousInactive@dp143, I completely agree with you. I have this though long time ago as well. I just don't understand all the TSBPA, NASBA thing. Everything is computerized and networked, we don't even need these middle men to pass the scores to us. They told me that once they received the score from AICPA, they will verify and then release…yeah right! verify…maybe I should get a job at TSBPA after my retirement, that sounds a real easy job…just make sure to take some day off during the score release dates to avoid angry instant exam takers like me. :-).

AnonymousInactiveAnother thing that makes me uneasy is the transparency of this process. TSBPA should have at least posted a process on how they received, process and release their information. They also should post a FAQ section addressing common questions and spaculations…nothing. If you check their website, nothing was mentioned.

AnonymousInactiveso, the scores they received Wednesday and Thursday were only AUD scores and they're not posting the scores they receive today. What is wrong with them. It's completely unfair that we have to wait for a week after scores are released to receive ours. How do we make TX a NASBA state?
December 9, 2011 at 5:14 pm #326808
AnonymousInactiveIn response to the manner in which the Board did not release scores before Thanksgiving (instead taking a half day off), I wrote an email to NASBA requesting information as to 1) why Texas was not a NASBA state, and 2) the benefits of becoming a NASBA state (that might support a petition to the Board). The lady who received my email responded within an hour or two and told me that it was going to be forwarded to NASBA's Director. The Director sent me an email within a few days with some very general reasoning as to why a state may not utilize NASBA, nothing too helpful, but at the end of her email she said that she was forwarding my inquiry to the TSBPA Executive Director. That was on Nov 28, and I have not heard anything after that (but, I've also not followed up either). The TSBPA exists to serve the State's CPAs and CPA candidates, and I think it is not unreasonable for us to ask for some transparency in this process. It just seems very indicitive of how things in Austin are handled. Anyone with a conclealed weapons permit knows how bad it can be, they require all communication to be through standard mail… seriously, it's the year 2011.

AnonymousInactiveI always wonder about that. One of us might have to sleep with somebody to make TSBPA NASBA state. 🙂
I am willing to take one for the team! Lol

AnonymousInactiveI got a feeling Texas will be the last few to become a NASBA state…
