LoxRicanMemberI finally received my AUDIT score yesterday. 68! To be honest I spent most of the night crying. I'm really frustrated now and have to re-think everything. Now I'm 0 for 2, FAR 74, AUD 68. Enough is enough!!! I'm not going to start a new section until I get these done.
Please give me your advice on re-taking study techniques. I used the Wiley TB, Yaeger review, Ninja notes and audio. I did hundreds of questions in the test bank. Now, I'm thinking that really didn't matter.
On Monday, I'm re-scheduling audit for 10/15, that would give me 7 weeks starting from 8/25. Then I'm going back to FAR.
Failure is a bitter pill to swallow!! It suck!s 🙁

LSNYCMember@LoxRican – For audit are you using the authoritative literature during your SIMs? That was a huge help for me, I was able to find answers to my SIMs in there word for word during the exam. I also read my NINJA notes a ton for AUD and think that really helped too.
@Mickeywanttopass – I am def going to read more i think this time. I have the NINJA notes but i did not read them nearly enough for REG so i am going to to do that more. I also have the audio so i want to try and listen to that more too. I have the Wiley book but find it a little to detailed sometimes….Maybe i need to get back into reading that anyway
A - 61, 91!!
B - 78!
F - 76!!!
R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!Finally done!
This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

MickeywanttopassMemberLoxRican don't feel bad I got a 73 on both when I took it the first time I felt so bad like I couldn't even pass 1 so I know how you feel, but don't let it get to you. It's good that you plan to retake it while it's still fresh in you head (as much as it could be). I always go over all MCQ twice for each exam because I don't have much time, what I noticed is when I was doing the exam for the second time is that there is still a lot I don't know and this time I was really trying to pay attention to questions I got wrong. do a lot of MCQ I didn't do lectures for the second time. For FAR I got the Ninja Audio and listen to it over and over again (I would go to sleep with it every single night even if you feel like you know it)
You are very close you will pass it the next time. but make sure to study everything because my retake was nothing like my first exam totally different. once you will pass one you will feel like you can do it and feel better but don't feel bad most people fail some exams doesn't mean like you can't do it. Good Luck!!
REG - 79
AUD - 84
FAR - 82
BEC - 8/29/13August 24, 2013 at 9:26 pm #450235

Nancy in IllinoisParticipantTook a nap. Hoping that rather than waking up, this is just some kind of bad dream…
A 74 on FAR. Are you kidding me? Seriously? Back in the old days, less than 20 years ago, they never gave scores between 70 and 74. If you were in that range, they regraded and either gave you a 69 FAIL or a 75 PASS.
This is my second time around on the exam. I had passed two parts, REG and BEC. I had received failing scores on AUD, BEC between 71 and 74. Actually I got a 74 the last time I sat for AUD. Then my son was diagnosed with Stage III cancer. Needless to say, priorities changed and I had to step back and focus on him. I am happy to say he is healthy now and we are very blessed.
I just returned to the CPA saddle and what does it get me? Another stinking 74! Jeff – you need to change the name of the forum, or maybe I should change my screen name to Another 74 in Illinois! Probably easier, huh?
OK – thanks for letting me vent. Congrats to all who passed your exams during this past window. For those who didn't, don't give up. There is too much riding on it.
I have been approached more than one time with job opportunities only to not get them because I was not a CPA. Please hear me – they approached me – I didn't approach them. But I wasn't chosen in the end only because I did not have the CPA. This exam can be passed. Failing makes one humble and I know that several failures will only make receiving the CPA certification that much sweeter when it does happen.
Peace out!

AnonymousInactiveMan, just heard back from a friend from school. He had passed everything but BEC and was waiting on the score of his second attempt. He was extremely nervous because his FAR score had expired a week after he took it. Now he just found out that he got . . . a 74. 🙁
I know these are the rules we play by but it still makes me angry. One friggin point more and he would have been done.
