It seems clear to me that the objective of the TX Board is not to serve the state's CPA's and CPA candidates. Some test takers purposefully sit for sections earlier in the window in order to receive scores in time to make a decision about sitting for additional sections before the window closes. Not only is TX effectively wiping out a full week for us to make that decision, they will quite possibly be releasing scores on Tuesday, which would be too late to reschedule a section currently set for Wednesday, the last day of the window.
I don't know if being a NASBA state would be any better, but I can't see how it could be as bad as, or any worse than what we are dealing with now. Perhaps we should petition the Board to switch. I'm sure after this week there are many TX candidates that would support it.
