Angel, I think it's impossible to study for the WC. It doesn't matter if you know the answer or not, just write a good memo. Wiley had some good pointers about writing to specific audiences – if you're writing to a partner at your firm you can use common terms (like WAC and LIFO), but if you're writing to a client you should write out the explanation of the accronym.
For example: I understand you are looking in to switching from LIFO (last in first out) inventory method to FIFO (first in first out).
I've always done well on the written portion (I took a few exams when WC was on all but BEC) but I guarantee you I hardly ever knew what I was talking about. Often I will write as much as I know about the topic and then say something like “I would be happy to have my manager call you as he is much more knowledgeable on this topic,” or something like that.
Just write what you know, or act like you know something, just stay on topic. Your answer could be 100% opposite of correrct, but as long as you've written a clear memo and stayed on topic you should be fine.
Good luck!
