kguzMemberFirst time posting, but for those of you getting more and more concerned as you wait for your scores, I wanted to share some information. I just got off the phone with NASBA. They said they still have many scores to upload (from all sections), but most from BEC (because the grading takes longer REGARDLESS of the score received). They are uploading the scores in random order and will continue to do so all through the weekend. If you are waiting on BEC still, it is in no way an indication that you have a “borderline” score. They assured me there is nothing to worry about, as long as I recieve my score by Monday. If you haven't gotten it by then, you should call them.
Hope this helps some of the others who are FREAKING out about BEC scores!

ggwsbiMemberNY – FAR and AUD scores released yesterday. I took FAR twice in 2011 and noticed the increase in IFRS questions being tested. In Q2, there were 3-4 multiple choice questions, but it was doubled in Q4. The questions relate to general concepts; not calculation. Keep in mind if you plan to take FAR in 2012 as you may see more IFRS being tested.
BEC 11/10 - 77
REG 11/10 - 66, 8/11 - 84
AUD 4/11 - 86
FAR 4/11 - 67, 11/11 - 83December 9, 2011 at 3:08 pm #317973December 9, 2011 at 3:09 pm #317974December 9, 2011 at 3:09 pm #317975
rschaf2ParticipantIf anyone from Maryland is waiting (MD is an independent state)… I emailed the state board yesterday to find out if they had received the scores. I received the following stock reply:
“I do not know when we will receive the grades. Please keep checking the website as they are posted when they are received by the IT department.”
I get the impression that this message has been copied and pasted in dozens (if not hundreds) of replies this week. Based on the last couple of test windows, I anticipate receiving my score either Monday or Tuesday.
{Scurries back to Board website to continue refreshing every 2-5 minutes.}
EDIT – I successfully pulled off the reverse jinx!!! Unfortunately, my score was a 72. Drat.
Back at it.

AnonymousInactiveI tested on 11/22/11 for FAR, the test was awful, or maybe sine it was my final one my brain was already drained. I waited the 7th until 2:30 am and there was no score yet. Woke up at 5:45 am and there it was, my final score, a 77. This is the best feeling, I am finally done. This has been a really hard year, between working fulltime and the house and my two kids, depriving them of my prescence almost every weeekend, but it was worth it. I feel great. I used Becker for all sections and all I did was read the chapters, listen to the lectures and answer as many multiple choice questions as possible. Close to the exams I looked at the sample SIMS that Becker had but not wasted too much time on them since they can be so different. I did not purchase the final exam because I did not feel I could spent that long studying continously, instead I used the progress tests as much as I could. I feel Becker was awesome, I had read many complains about it, but I thought it was fantastic. I am originally from Cuba and have not been here for may years and I am used to studying with books and all by myself. I will say I will never get used to the MCQ's, don't find them a very well reflection of people's knowledge (plus since English is not my first language they are really hard for me to notice the difference between some answers), they can be very confusing, I am more inclined towards the SIMS.
Anyways, I am so glad it is over. Good luck to all of you still waiting and never give up, it is such a great feeling of accomplishment.

Yellowjacket116MemberI saw somebody a few pages ago mention updates & additional lectures available on Youtube for Becker- can anyone tell me where to find those? I didn't know they existed, and that probably could have given me that 1 extra point I needed to pass (as has been said over & over – Becker left out a lot of stuff for REG this quarter).
The first failing score really hurts, especially since it was a 74. Glad I have the support of this forum to get me through it. If I have learned anything from you all, it's that it CAN be done!

ladyleo1MemberI'm thinking about purchasing a supplemental study guide like Becker final review has anyone used it? I'm currently using CPAexcel but feel it may not be enough.

Yellowjacket116Member@ladyleo1 – I use Becker final review! I found it to be so helpful for my first two tests (FAR & AUD) and would highly recommend it. They use the identical format of the exam- same calculator and everything! Even though I failed REG with a 74, I am going to use it again next time I take it. I think it would have been much, much worse if I didn't use it

HonestmikeMember@ Lady. I have Becker final review for all of the sections and I think it's great. It makes reviewing much easier.

jd89MemberJust got MD BEC Score 84, felt pretty bad about this one coming out of the test center. But then again, I have not felt good about any of them so far.
Three down, AUD left to go on 1/7/2011
Congrats to everyone who passed, good luck to everyone still waiting and those who still have more exams to go.

mst995ParticipantGot my BEC score last night… 66 š …. pretty much what I expected. Getting pretty discouraged and frankly pissed off at myself. It's the second time I've failed BEC all because I'm incapable of putting in consistent 100% study effort. I passed audit last summer with an 80 and I lose my credit feb 28 2012 with 3 parts to pass. Feels quite hopeless at this point and I'm debating whether or not I should just give up… I realize I sound quite pathetic right now, don't judge me… I just need to vent a little to people that actually get it.
