I used the GLEIM books, software on my computer and simulations on-line. Supplemented with Wily books. Went back to classroom textbooks and homework for areas that were harder to understand.
My scores were not great but good enough. I can do the work and get the concepts but test time is a different story. For many of the modules in GLEIM I went through every question until I got decent scores – nothing less than 80 and preferably in the 90s before moving on.
I got lucky on my second REG score (didn't think I passed) and had a better draw of simulations on the 2nd FAR. For BEC and AUD I felt I did better than what I got. So I believe it's just a combination of a random walk through questions and your own ability. If you know the stuff you will pass. I often wonder did I do well on questions that didn't count in your score and then missed on ones that were included. What a relief it's over.
