    While I am inspired by reading about those who pass, I find myself wondering, am I the only one REALLY struggling through this exam? I gain confidence knowing that I’m not the only one out there having to retake sections more than two or three times. Who else is struggling?

    My scores:

    BEC – 78 (lost credit 11/30/11), 73

    AUD – 75 (lost credit 1/14/12)

    REG – 70, 69, 71, 77 PASSED!

    FAR – 56, 49, 64, 63, 71

    As it stands, I only have one credit, but just a few months ago, I had 3 credits. Losing credit is heartbreaking and I need some motivation from those who are struggling like I am and continue to keep going. I have taken the exam 12 times now, and soon-to-be 15 times. Has anyone else taken it more? Let’s hear the stories of perseverance out there!

    B - 78 (lost credit 11/30/11), 73, 75 PASSED!
    A - 75 (lost credit 1/14/12), 72, 75 PASSED!
    R - 70, 69, 71, 77 PASSED!
    F - 56, 49, 64, 63, 71, 68, 64, 69, 77 PASSED!

    @CPAHOPE you are so close to getting what you want. See if anything I posted back in the day will be helpful: https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-forum/forum/aud-cpa-exam-prep-test-day-experience/auditing-attestation/topic/suggestion-for-aud-tester/

    You can do this. Maybe you need to mentally regroup and start fresh. Don’t hold yourself back, don’t rush from exam to exam. Each is a discrete, new test not a continuation of the one that came before. Others have endured the number of attempts you have and triumphed. You will, too. Set a goal of no more retakes. Study to score high not just 75. Convince yourself you can do this. You have to believe and give yourself encouragement. Read every question and all of the answers. Make sure you understand why the answer is right and others are wrong. DON’T lose FAR!!! You are not going to get lucky and pass all 4 within 18 months. It does take real preparation. I don’t what you have to overcome to succeed. Try to figure it out. Post questions you don’t understand or post the ones you do! As I like to say if you want things to change you have to do something different! I am babbling but I want you to know I am rooting for you!

    It took me 7 times to pass FAR. Thankfully that was the only section that I had to retake more than once. FOCUS ON MCQS. It is very much possible to pass these exams simply from doing hundreds (if not thousands) of MCQs. Put down the books and notes and start hammering away at MCQs and learn through those.

    @Animalwithin

    Thank you. It seems like the general consensus is to hammer those MCQs until your eyes bleed or tackle them hardcore like Steve Balmer. Lol
