    Counting down to Wave 2!!

I figured I’d give us a new thread since the original is already up to 51 pages and threads can get “glitchy” (for lack of a better word) after too many pages.

Hopefully this score release goes better than Wave 1 technologically and we all get our scores business day before like in the past. 16 days, 4 hours, 35 minutes, 30 seconds until Friday, 2/22 @ 2pm (complete guess time).

What’s everyone waiting for? I’m waiting for AUD. Really hoping to be 3/4 done at the end of February!!!

Just finished BEC this evening, so I'm checking into the score release “waiting” group! I had 3 seconds left and finished up the last written communication, then exited the exam, but right after that the “Time Expired” box came up. Does anyone know if the written communications will still count? I'm kind of worried!

I wish time would just jump to next Friday. I don't have anything going on between now and then except crazy work hours every day and jumping to 2/22 would kill 2 birds with one stone – get to score release day and get to audit sign-off day.

@k917- On your next sign-off day, you'll be legally authorized to sign that audit report! 🙂

Anyone else feel like they are slowly dying? For me, everything relies on this score and I feel like my body and mind are shutting down…

    Must… document… internal… controls… Must… send… bank… confirmations… uhhhhggggg…

Why isn't it the 22nd already?! Lol

I feel your pain. Be nice if, since electronic, we could have our scores immediately like other high stakes tests (i.e. GMAT). But then you have to remember the CPA has a consistent pass rate year-after-year but they say there is no curve. Rubbish.

Hopefully next week scores release early on Friday, so I will know mine by Saturday.

    Best of luck to everyone.

    I am DONE!

@badger – Seems crazy but yea. Except that I'm Big 4 so the partners get the pleasure of signing the report. Actually no one does, they sign a form saying the report can be signed and the signature is electronic now.

@mburandt – They like to say there's no curve, but the whole grading process actually sets a curve just by the nature of how it works. If you get a “difficult” question right, and most people get it wrong, you get more credit for getting it right. If that's not a curve I don't know what is.

@sln1000 – Thanks for this information. I'm breathing a little easier now knowing that my work on the WCs will count 🙂

Before the thread gets inundated with score posts, how do you check your score faster than just logging into cpacentral? Sorry this is my first score release. I know it has something to do with your first three notice to sit numbers.

@cpa runner – it depends on if your a NASBA state or not. If you are in a state that gets your scores from NASBA (i.e. you don't have to wait for your State BOA to release them), you can check your score here: https://ncd.nasba.org/gwprdv2/servlet/hgwcs01

And the first 3 of your NTS just tell you where in line you are for score release as the release is generally done in increasing order of first 3 NTS # (i.e. BEC 501 would usually get their score before BEC 505)

@k917 Thanks, NASBA state here, so will be looking on the 22nd!!!!

While I was about to finish my AUD exam, I thought I had answered all the questions n I was left with about 50 secs so I decided to terminate the exam and I pressed the exit button. It gave me a warning message, I don't recollect the entire message. I clicked on that too. Not sure my exam closed due to that or it closed due to lapse of time. As the results are nearing Iam getting scared as to what that message was. Does it warn if you have not completed all parts of the simulation or it just says do you wish to exit the exam ? Can someone clarify as I am worried whether I have completed all parts of the SIMS which I thought I did. Thanks in advance.

    BEC: 77(Nov 2010), 81(Jul 2012).
    FAR: 80(Jul 2012).
    REG: 72(Jul 2012), 78(Oct 2012).
    AUD: 71(Nov 2010),74(Jul 2012),74(Oct 2012),75(Jan 2013)- Thanks God, without you i couldnt have done this. I'M DONE !!!

@ sIn1000 i take becker as a review course and when i take the practice test.. i believe when you press “exit” you get a warning saying are you sure you want to exit the exam and then a second warning and then it logs you out… anything you have done up to that point has been saved. they just want to make sure you know that you are exiting the exam and will not be allowed to go back to a previous section even if you have time left over. Regarding sims there were numbers at the bottom so you could see how many sims you had .. i am waiting on my scores for my last section, FAR and thinking back on AUD i think there was 7 sims in that section? either way the test will not warn you if you have not completed all the sims.. it will just say something like “are you sure you want to exit the exam” and then another pop up will come up saying something like “if you exit you will not be able to go back to a previous section, are you sure you want to exit” .. hope this helps.
