    Counting down to Wave 2!!

I figured I’d give us a new thread since the original is already up to 51 pages and threads can get “glitchy” (for lack of a better word) after too many pages.

Hopefully this score release goes better than Wave 1 technologically and we all get our scores business day before like in the past. 16 days, 4 hours, 35 minutes, 30 seconds until Friday, 2/22 @ 2pm (complete guess time).

What’s everyone waiting for? I’m waiting for AUD. Really hoping to be 3/4 done at the end of February!!!

@disonthewaytocpa – Borderline is pretty much when you are in the low 70's range after the computer grades your exam. They will manually grade the written communications to make sure you aren't getting a failing score because the computers didn't grade your WC properly.

    @ Kattya

Looks like we will be in agony together again waiting for those TX scores. Crossing my fingers we both pass. I decided I am NOT getting my hopes up that scores will post on the weekend this time. I about drove myself crazy last time.

@ bibegirl haha! That's what I keep telling myself… But then a small voice in my head whispers “but…but last time TX state board did not receive our scores before 4 pm on Friday… This time they might” ….yeah I know… Hearing voices in my head not exactly a sign of sanity… Looks like I have been at this for too long:(

    BEC - 79
    AUD - 83
    REG - 78
    FAR - 78 (expires Mar '13)

@sln1000 – All it means is that I have met the licensing requirements for Education and Experience for the State of CT.

However in an attempt to get anything “administrative” done and out of the way, I have already provided the CT BOA with a second round of my final transcripts so they have them all and have already submitted my Experience Verification form at work. A coworker took 2 months to get their sent in and I wasn't going to wait until I passed my last exam then wait 2 months for the form.

@k917 Thanks for the info. I was thinking all these have to be done only after passing cpa exam. Can we do that at any time?. Does it differ from state to state?.

    BEC: 77(Nov 2010), 81(Jul 2012).
    FAR: 80(Jul 2012).
    REG: 72(Jul 2012), 78(Oct 2012).
    AUD: 71(Nov 2010),74(Jul 2012),74(Oct 2012),75(Jan 2013)- Thanks God, without you i couldnt have done this. I'M DONE !!!

Just an FYI, NASBA offices will be closed for President's day this year. (Last year they were open). So make sure when estimating the release day, that you take the holiday into consideration. I think you all are on the right track for the 22nd to be the start date for NASBA states.

    Good Luck everyone!!!!

There are so many of you I am cheering for!

@sln – It will vary state to state.

For education, some states allow you to complete it after the exam but before your eligible to receive your license, and some states make you complete all your education before you even apply for the exam.

For experience, I'm sure the preference is that you complete the verification after your done with your exam. I only need 2 years experience and I already have 5. Since CT only requires that your experience be within 10 years preceding the date you passed the exam, my work hours from now until I finally pass have no impact as I already meet the requirements. The only reason I did the experience verification now is because I won't have the 2 months to wait (looming CPA related promotion deadline at work).

I also took the ethics exam in December just to get it out of the way.

The CT BOA has been very helpful. You could always contact yours regarding what can be done before you finish the exam, and what has to wait until after you finish.

Thanks for the update on the NASBA schedule MCLKT! I am starting to dislike some of these federal holidays- especially since I never get off work for them! Ah well… I hope the NASBA employees enjoy their day off.

So, hopefully Friday, February 22nd for NASBA (which for us in IL hopefully means Saturday). I can live with that 🙂

Even with the Holiday I think 2/22 is reasonable. I got the official release date of 2/25 from the AICPA released schedule, not by counting days on my own. So I don't think the holiday should impact us any since it seems to be already considered in the AICPA schedule.

any news on window being extended? I think score will be released on Feb 25, federal holidays don't count as business day.

    AUD: TBA-
    FAR Done
    BEC Done

    NINJA for AUD

@jamesb – No news on an extended window. And I don't see why there would be. The snow storm only affected the north east part of the country and it was mid Q1 so there's plenty of time to make up exams.

Also, as we're talked about in this thread, 2/25 is the official score release date per AICPA. However, with the exception of last wave's score release (NASBA had system issues), scores generally come out the business day before the official date, which for this wave would be 2/22.

President's Day was already factored into the AICPAs score release timeline when they said 2/25. So it is reasonable to think scores may be out 2/22.
