    Counting down to Wave 2!!

I figured I’d give us a new thread since the original is already up to 51 pages and threads can get “glitchy” (for lack of a better word) after too many pages.

Hopefully this score release goes better than Wave 1 technologically and we all get our scores business day before like in the past. 16 days, 4 hours, 35 minutes, 30 seconds until Friday, 2/22 @ 2pm (complete guess time).

What’s everyone waiting for? I’m waiting for AUD. Really hoping to be 3/4 done at the end of February!!!

So when do you guys think that the NASBA will release scores? February 22nd or 25th. Do they post on Saturdays? I always have to wait another 24 hours for ILBOA to post scores.

    REG 80
    BEC 71, 80
    FAR 76
    AUD 67, 83
    I'm done!!

badger_2012 – Saw your post on the AUD experience thread. I had a similar experience in regards to feeling as though the testlets did not change in difficulty. Honestly, I'm not sure it means much. I was reading some past posts on the experience thread saying the same thing and a bunch of those people passed. I think the concept of “difficult” really varies from person to person and who knows what the AICPA considers “difficult”. The only way I could tell that my second testlet on FAR was difficult was because the questions got longer, other than that I didn't think it was actually harder. Guess we'll see in about 10 days!

jambueh – Should be February 22nd for NASBA states assuming there aren't any storm related changes, not sure about IL.

@soxfan866 – I hope you are right; because sometimes ILBOA will post scores on Saturdays!

    REG 80

    FAR 76
    AUD 67, 83

@soxfan866- I'm so glad you wrote your post above, that definitely makes me feel a lot better! I am also getting the same impression from reading older test experiences- it appears that Audit is just a test where it is harder to judge difficulty. After all, AICPA standards are no more difficult to memorize than SEC/PCAOB standards, and there are only so many ways you can ask what contents should go in a rep letter.

I've got three countdown timers running on my phone for when ILBOA might release scores (full disclosure: I was wrong last time, so take my estimate with a grain of salt). I think the most likely date for release is Saturday, February 23rd. I personally got my BEC score on a Saturday and I have heard several other IL candidates say they have gotten their scores Saturday. Also, even in all the dysfunction of the last score release, ILBOA has been very consistent about always releasing scores exactly one day after NASBA, just as in previous waves. They released AUD/BEC scores on the 5th (the day after NASBA released those scores), and FAR/REG on the 6th (again, the day after NASBA). It all depends on NASBA- when I start to see NASBA releasing AUD scores, I'll know to look the next day.

    Good luck 2013cpa!

@badger – IF IL releases on Saturdays I think your guess could be right. I'm a NASBA state and I'm expecting my score Friday 2/22. I don't think we can just score release based on last wave since they had system issues that messed up the release.

Hoping for a good AUD day for all of us!!

I sure hope so k917! That should be a great celebratory weekend for all of us!

I know for a fact IL can release on Saturdays having experienced it myself, it's only a question of if they will do it again. History says they will as long as NASBA gets the ball rolling on Friday. I'm trying not to base my expectations off of wave 1, but after enduring the extra wait + ILBOA being dysfunctional, I'm a little more skeptical- probably some psychological defense mechanism. Someone should write a paper on the psychology of CPA candidates 🙂

I'm getting so nervous already… this could be my last exam!!! I took my time between the exams, so my Becker software has already expired, and if I don't pass BEC I'll have to re-take FAR…. this is pure torture…

    BEC - 79
    AUD - 83
    REG - 78
    FAR - 78 (expires Mar '13)

Hey Kattya, I'm on the same boat as you are, just wondering what was your exam experience as I also used Becker only?

    waiting for score is torturing….

@oceanwave1000 frankly I felt that this was the hardest exam for me… on all the other topics I would take the first 2 chapters very slowly, and will focus really hard on them, and then all the rest just followed very smoothly… I still had to study hard on the rest, but it was a nice build-up… this one was all over the place… also all other exams I finished at least one hour early (audit with 2 hours to spare)… this exam took the full 3 hours…

Also I was so surprised that majority of the formulas I studied did not appear even once, but then I saw 4 questions that had me using one single formula (unfortunately not the one that I was very sure about)….

    so yeah… really not sure…

    How was your experience???

    BEC - 79
    AUD - 83
    REG - 78
    FAR - 78 (expires Mar '13)

I am joining this club! Took BEC today. I am wondering if I have to wait extra days after the release date to get my score… Anyone knows?

    #402268

@Kattya, I felt the same as you for BEC using only Becker. I really felt the exam did not reflect quite as much of what i studied. Becker's problems were defintiely good for practice, but didn't seem as applicable.

    Let's just pray for 2/22.

@oceanwave1000 unfortunately since I'm in TX it will probably be the 25th or 26th either way=((((( But I'll be praying for your score release anyway=)

    BEC - 79
    AUD - 83
    REG - 78
    FAR - 78 (expires Mar '13)

@ disonthewaytocpa from what I remember from previous releases you have to wait extra on BEC only if you are borderline… also, if you are a non-NASBA state you'll have to wait extra day(s) for your state to release the scores… good luck!

    BEC - 79
    AUD - 83
    REG - 78
    FAR - 78 (expires Mar '13)

@kattya I am in a NASBA state. What do you mean by borderline?
