    Counting down to Wave 2!!

    I figured I’d give us a new thread since the original is already up to 51 pages and threads can get “glitchy” (for lack of a better word) after too many pages.

    Hopefully this score release goes better than Wave 1 technologically and we all get our scores business day before like in the past. 16 days, 4 hours, 35 minutes, 30 seconds until Friday, 2/22 @ 2pm (complete guess time).

    What’s everyone waiting for? I’m waiting for AUD. Really hoping to be 3/4 done at the end of February!!!

    Am not liking my family saying not to worry about the score I know you did great because you studied so much, so I'm already congratulating you! Ummm no it doesn't work like that… ugh.

    @CPARunner – recommend this thread for casual reading while you await your score:

    @Cpa_runner

    Will you check your FAR score before taking AUD test or will wait?

    Looks like our AUD will be released in Wave 3 which comes up rather quickly. It is so exciting! What if we are indeed half-way thru?!

    I got to check it Seattle. I guess its just how my mind works. I definitely would not get any productive last minute studying done knowing its just a click away. Are you going to check? The wave 3 wait is going to be a cake walk for us!

    @CPA_runner,

    I'm thinking of not checking it until i'm in the car done with the AUD test = on 02/26.

    Maybe it sounds crazy, but i'm trying to mentally/emotionally separate success or failure of FAR from impacting AUD.

    Anyone else test on 2/15 expecting to see score results this weekend? Between studying & tax season I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention to the exact days in the waves…

    B: 81! May 2013
    A: 70 Feb 2013 / 75! May 2013
    R: 94! May 2012
    F: 72 Aug 2012 / 83! Nov 2012

    @leha15. Yes I did the same thing. I didn't think Federal Holidays would count as the testing window, but reading this thread makes me think differently now. Frankly, I'm a little annoyed. I think this all has to do with their trial questions. Three hour certs are typically $200 to $400 depending on the vendor. I have several of them from msft, orcl, pmi. Each one gives you the results that day. I feel like nasba should be testing their trial questions on their own dime and not my psyche. Oh well. Hurry up and wait.

    The most exam related stress I've dealt with so far, other than getting my 74, was last wave when the system crashed mid-score release. I had to have a nice big glass of wine that night just to fall asleep. Just a little over 3 days!!!

    CPA can become really stressful when you fail multiple times or when you are waiting to change your job after completing CPA.

    BEC: 77(Nov 2010), 81(Jul 2012).
    FAR: 80(Jul 2012).
    REG: 72(Jul 2012), 78(Oct 2012).
    AUD: 71(Nov 2010),74(Jul 2012),74(Oct 2012),75(Jan 2013)- Thanks God, without you i couldnt have done this. I'M DONE !!!

    @K917 What about results release during sandy times?. I was very disappointed when exam results were postponed indefinitely(without a release day mentioned). I was finding it difficult to wait till the actual date of release itself. Was having a tough time at the job too.

    Thankfully I wasn't waiting for a score during Sandy. I was studying during it then took an exam November 16 so I wasn't impacted. I can imagine the wait was awful though!

    Yeah, sorry guys, 2/15 is day 46. The way it works is that the “day in the scoring window” is simply the total number of days- everything counts: business days, weekends, and holidays. This is what determines your “wave”. Then, the exact release day is dependent on the number of business days after day “x” of the scoring window (45 in this case)- this is where only business days count, not weekends or holidays. You'll be in wave three if you tested on 2/15. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I can think of nothing worse than waiting for a result that isn't coming.

    Sandy was the worst. I tested at the very beginning of the window, so I was already waiting a month- the extra week was brutal. My heart really went out to those who not only lived on the east coast and got hit, but were also waiting for their scores as well! Can you imagine- your home is damaged AND you are stuck waiting for scores? Anyone who got through that in one piece should be proud!

    @TX_Hoodlette I took REG on 1/19 as well. I got my score on 2/5. You should check with NASBA and see what happened!

    Hope you passed!
