Dylan, I hope so because I provided all the details to NASBA and they responded via email that my exam falls within the August 7th release window. Guess we will find out tomorrow evening.

Dylan, they told me the same thing. This sucks because now we have to wait an extra two weeks.

Next time I will just take it one day before the cutoff.

    Dood,

Apparently even if you took it the day before the cut off, it could still be late. NASBA told me AICPA received my exam from Prometric 3 days after I took exam. Smh.

The problem I have is why they didn’t notify us before the score release date that it’s late and will be included in this window’s release. With the technology we have, it shouldn’t be a problem.

No score, and we have it the 1 week mark as of now. I just emailed NASBA again.

Received confirmation from NASBA. Exam was uploaded 7.25 even though exam was finished on evening of 7.23. Therefore, will be part of the next score release. Unfortunately, it seems you need to take it at least 2 days prior to cut-off to make it in the score release window – this is a general rule not a hard fact.

Studied for 13 days and passed FAR without any previous knowledge of accounting. I am literally crying after I saw my score.

🥳 Congrats! How were you approved to take exams with no prior accounting education? What country allows that?

I think she meant to say she didnt major in accounting. I didn't major in accounting as well, my major was economics. I had to take accounting courses to be approved to take the exam.

I guess I should have directed my question to Joyceee. I want to hear what she says rather than speculate about her meaning of the phrase “no prior knowledge of accounting” The international students have different requirements and I am curious if this may offer some insight.

    BEC - 82

All, used the eyeball trick and can confirm I passed BEC. I am done with the CPA exam. This has been a brutal journey this past year. I have an MBA so that helped with BEC – it only took 2 weeks while the other exams took much longer. I only used Becker.

    My study strategy:
    1. Go through each lecture and take detailed notes in my book
    2. Go through the Skills Practice
    3. Go through each MCQ – if I got it wrong or wanted to revisit it, I would flag it
    4. Any MCQ that I got wrong I would write it down in my notebook
    5. Go through the Simulations
    6. 2 weeks before the exam I would do a high level review of each MCQ
    7. Week of the exam I would take up to 2 practice tests

Note – the above is the strategy I used for every exam but BEC. BEC I did not do any simulations and skipped a lot of the Skills Practice given the time crunch and comfort with the material.

My scores on FAR, AUD, and REG were in mid 80s.

    FAR – 12 weeks
    AUD – 8 weeks
    REG – 6 weeks
    BEC – 2 weeks

Best of luck on your journey.

That's great @Dima Congrats! At least the wait was worth it since you didn't make the prior score release. I felt that my MBA helped a lot with BEC as well, but two weeks is amazing. I had to study for 1.5 months.
