How long does the Process take in PA? Does anyone have any experience to share so I know what to expect and when and if I should call the state board to followup?

You can log on an check your license status. Here:

I was licensed just under two months after my last passing score. NASBA was the big hold up. PA reviewed and approved everything within a week of receiving my scores from NASBA.

It may take a little longer if your experience isn't with a CPA firm. The PA rep told me they scrutinize the experience of non-CPA firm employees a bit due to the attest requirements.

I should add that if you didn't apply for the license online, the state will mail you information to log on to check your license status.

Also, have your experience sign off mailed in ASAP. You don't want that to be the only thing holding you up.

Thanks I applied online and have checked the site the only thing that says complete is my payment. My experience is in private industry and the forms have been completed and mailed by a CPA. I assume the educational transcripts that I sent in when I first applied to take the exams are available to PA through NASBA already. Again thank you for the information, I will check in on my application in a few weeks to see how things are moving along, and If there is no movement in a month give them a call.

    Take care

That's pretty much what I did. NASBA will send your scores and transcripts. Your boss will send in the experience. You pay the $65.

If you'd like to get an idea of when you'll get your license- reach out to NASBA and find out when they will send your information to PA and add two weeks to that. That should be the day you're licensed by.

In my case, it took NASBA like 6 weeks to mail my stuff out. PA turned the rest around in less than two weeks.

If you aren't licensed by whatever date you come up with using that method, email the board. No one ever picks up the phone, but they generally responded to my emails within a day or two.
