    Hi Everyone,

I’m currently waiting on the score release for my last section.

I was wondering and hoping if someone could help me…
I live/work in the state of Florida, but sat for the exams as GA candidate.
I’ve tried searching to see what the residency requirement is like for non-resident applicants, couldn’t find any specifics.

I kept seeing that the candidates should be licensed in the state they reside & practice in.
Do you know if this still applies if I’m working in the industry as a corporate accountant?

    Thank you!

Yes your license needs to match your state of practice. You can follow through with Georgia's licensing, then reciprocate your license to Florida. The only hang up is some states may require work experience only in that specific state. There is also the option to transfer your CPA scores across states. You should check Georgia's licensing requirements, and the process for reciprocating your license/transferring scores to Florida which should be through NASBA.
