Last time I called, they told me that they are processing October 18, 2017. I think if people justs are applying for the CPA application it will take most likely six months to get their license as compared to few from last year.
The state board received my last document required on November 3, and it took them almost a month to scan it and process it. Now it is with the board of education department, and they are the one who says that they have received my application on November 29 and now they are issuing October 18. It is going to be a long journey to get my CPA license 🙁

They informed me of this on the day that they were supposed to process my license which was even more painful. In regards to your experience being in Canada, I would suggest giving them a call. Getting them to write things down in an email if possible. So many things depend on this and because of this crappy bureaucracy, I do not have my license right now 🙁

Does anyone know where they are holding as of today?

I passed my last part in May 2017, got my score in August and had my application sent to the board on 10/25

This is taking too long………

Just called the board, they are working on 10/19 now and it took them a week and a half to finish 10/18

Hopefully 10/18 was the highest volume of applications sent in during October. I don't think I can handle them taking another week and a half to process 10/19 applications.

well – I JUST received this email “Your file was received in the board office on 10/25/2017. We are currently processing applications from 10/18/2017. Applications are processed in the order they are received. If anything further is needed, an evaluator will contact you by email”

The waiting is soooo painful. NYSED received my documents on 10/17 and delivered them to the board on 11/17. So I still have to wait for around 1 month to get approval……..hopefully?

At this point, I feel like I should change me signature to “The wait for your license number is more stressful than taking the the actual exams.”

I just called and they gave the following message “Due to unforeseen circumstances, staff is not available to take your call right now,” And then they direct you to use their website. I don't know what the hell that means, but I don't think you can call them today.

Hopefully they still answer e-mails.
