NYS License – Time to Process - Page 17

    @cpashoes08 What did they tell you? I had a manager from Colorado and another from Florida sign off with no issues. STill waiting on my license # to post online.

    @cpashoes08 @Tk3513 hey guys, the instruction of Form 4B indicates that the supervisor should be properly licensed and registered to practice in jurisdiction of their principal palce of business. As per my understanding, that means if your supervisor is licensed in another state, he/she should actively work in that state. For instance, if the supervisor licenses in CA and principally works in CA, he/she can sign for your NY license. However, if he/she licenses in CA and works in NY, he is not qualified.

    @lexus423 I am surprised this is taking so long for your license # to post online. Is it not suppose to be immediately?

    Hello everyone,

    I have been following this post very closely and its been very helpful during this very long process!

    My application was sent to the board 10/19 and last I've heard (1/09/18) they were still on 10/18. Has anyone heard anything different in the past two days?

    @hopefulcpa I e-mailed NYS yesterday and they did not provide much information and just told me my application is still with the board. I would suggest to search your name online to see if you received a license number and then call to check on the status.

    @cleethree I emailed them on the 9th of January and they said the same thing they always do.. “we are processing applications from…”. I asked them a follow up question hoping they would respond since my application was so close to being processed but I haven't heard anything yet.

    I also have been checking the NYS site constantly as well. I'm wondering if they only update it on Friday's. If you look at the bottom of the page it says “last updated 1/05/18”. I know it says its updated daily but its just a thought and maybe an explanation as to why @lexus423‘s name hasnt appeared yet.

    Why is everyone consistently hassling the NYS dept. over this? Obviously it sucks they're so far behind (I'll hopefully be in this pool before long), but damn, they can only go so fast. What's the point of trying to contact them every couple of days? Have patience people

    @Bourne I understand hassling them must be very annoying to them, but I have transitional things at my job that are on hold solely because I haven't been licensed yet. So it is very important for me to get my license as soon as possible and checking which application date they are processing is important to me.

    We all know NYS is slow at this whole process, but maybe if they processed application in let say 4 weeks as opposed to 16 long ass weeks so many people would not be antsy to get find out the status of their application.

    @hopefulcpa I am not sure which NYS site you are referring to. If you mean the NYSED license search web, it is updated daily. “The information furnished at this web site is from the Office of Professions' official database and is updated daily, Monday through Friday.”

    @miamia I think he is referring to https://www.op.nysed.gov/opsearches.htm . If you look at the bottom right of the page is states “Last Updated: January 05, 2018”.

    From my understanding, the database was supposed to be updated daily. So I am unsure if it means last time the website itself was updated or last time the database was updated.

    @miamia I know that it says that its updated daily I was just wondering if it actually is. Not sure either way.

    But I received an email saying they have approved everything but now it has to go to the “processing and final review stage”. They said my license number should available in a couple of weeks!
