    An update/FYI for all of the New York State CPA hopefuls…

    I passed the Exam in February 2012 and my final application and experience paperwork got to the New York State BoA on April 13, 2012. After multiple inquiries and hearing the wait time stretch from 4-6 weeks to 6-8 weeks to more than 8 weeks, I finally received a license number on July 17, 2012. The BoA has one person evaluating experience forms.

    I should receive my parchment in 2 weeks or 4 weeks or more than 4 weeks.

    I am very happy to be an official CPA in the great State of new York!!

    Licensed as of July 17, 2012!

    Still waiting……now wondering if Hurricane Sandy's going to delay it more. UGH!!

    Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....
    AUD - 39, 48, 56, 65, 68, 73, 76!!! (Finally passed in Oct 2011!!!) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley

    Jomarie, you should call them because I received my NY license in about 7 weeks.

    After 10 long years of studying, 12 long weeks of waiting for my license, and a few phone calls to the NYS, I'm finally a licensed CPA in the State of New York!!

    A little early b-day present from New York State. (My birthday is next week, LOL!!)
