Anyone else out there waiting for IL scores? I’m waiting on FAR, and a friend is waiting on BEC. Does anyone know how long it takes for the board to post after the AICPA releases? Jeff expects a BEC release from AICPA today. 🙂

Is anyone still out there that should have been in wave 1 or is now waiting for wave 2 from IL? I can't be the only one left. :O(

If you're still out there, it's more than likely because you got a new sim at this point… good luck!

    ? AUD - 87 (8/12/09)
    ? REG - 77 (1/15/10
    ? BEC - 77 (1/6/09 - Expired) / 79 (11/18/10)
    ? FAR - 75 (2/11/11)

Yep, I gather so. Nothing but more waiting at this point. I just keep hoping for small releases during the month. I was glad to see March 1st on the calendar this morning.

    Thanks!

I don't think there will be anymore releases for wave 1, so don't drive yourself crazy looking for one… chances are pretty good now that you're both in wave 2… and in some cases this might not end up being a bad thing!

    ? AUD - 87 (8/12/09)
    ? REG - 77 (1/15/10
    ? BEC - 77 (1/6/09 - Expired) / 79 (11/18/10)
    ? FAR - 75 (2/11/11)

LHO328 – thanks for responding! I wish we both had scores, but glad I am not alone. If you feeling like venting you can vent here & I will listen. I will keep watching this forum. And I keep trying to make my score magically appear, but I haven't got it to work yet.

glogo2384 – I know. I keep trying to tell myself wave 2 won't happen for weeks – concentrate. I start to concetrate on something and some how all I keep doing is wondering about my score. Did I pass, did I not, is good to wait this long, is it bad. Am I ever going to see “Pass” on that screen.

What can I say. The exam has taken over my thought process. If I could only concentrate on studying as much as I am concentrating on waitng for my score.

    :O)

Soanxious…I am also waiting for my score. I took AUD on 1/21 and this was hopefully my final test. This was my 5th time taking AUD! I scored a 74 last time and a 73 the time before. Being stuck in wave 2 is very fustrating! If I fail this time I will need to take the exam again before 4/6 or lose BEC. I have already started to study again…just in case. With the score being released so late…I might not be able to schedule the exam before 4/6. However…it I PASS….I am done.

I am so tired of seeing the “waiting for score”!! I wish they would just release it so I have some direction.

ILCPAGirl – this was my 5th time for AUD also. My first attempts were a mess. I had a 55 2x (other two scores I don't even want to talk about) (the last attempt was a 55). However I did everything wrong on the 11/09 attempt (my score would have been higher). So after that try I studied over Christmas and sat again 1/5. I am on the edge of my seat waiting & hoping for improvement. I took the other three back in '07 and did poorly on all of them. I found out (the hard way) my review program wasn't for me, and hoping that I finally figured out how to study for these exams. I keep praying to see an improved “passing” score on my screen. It just won't show up.

That would really stink to lose your BEC because of this delay. I am scheduled for Reg 4/2 and I want to move it and do FAR (I dropped REG when I didn't pass AUD in 11/09, but took a class for FAR 1/6 & have been studying FAR since the day after I resat for AUD). I thought the other day and posted that we won't be able to reapply at a certain point for that first week in April if they hold us too long. I start another review program the second week of April so week one would be the week for me to do one. If I knew right now that I was a few points away on AUD I would flip and retake AUD that first week of April, but I am eventually going to have to go with my original game plan and pay for FAR and hope for the best.

I feel your frustrations and hope you receive yours in time. I couldn't imagine have to retake an exam after you passed it, and the waiting knowing you could be done. I dream of the day I can say I am done.

This entire set up is horrible. It is bad enough to study loads of information (when only part of it is tested), the non-testing months, the rolling time frame, the wait for the score, and $. I am glad I found this site because only others going through this could really understand what they put us through.

Let's all hope for the best that someone feels sorry for us and let our scores that are being held hostage be released earlier then the next wave. Oh please, please, please.

Hey guys, I'm also waiting for AUD. Took it 1/23. New sims suck… Any idea when Wave 2 is happening?

Soanxious….I scored 68, 68, 73, & 74. I have used every exam prep including Gleim, Wiley, Yeager, Becker, & DePaul CPA review. I just don't understand how I can get so close and not pass. The last exam I received scores in each section well above 75( mostly 80+) and stronger on simulation but weaker on communications. I switched to Becker this time and I just hope it is enough. I find it hard to believe I have not been able to pass this section. I have a 4.0 GPA….it just doesn't make sense.

Starting to lose confidence in myself.

It feels so good to vent here knowing others are going through the same BS.

ILCPAGirl – Don't lose confidence. You are not alone. I had great grades in school also. I think maybe 2 “B's” in grad school and the rest all “A's”, and 99% in financial reporting in my undergrad. It is so frustrating.

I lose points everytime in the sims. I have not once been comparable in the sims. They make me panic. So this last time I really played with the practice exam on-line and gleims software to get more comfortable. Are you copying and pasting in the written at all?

I started with Becker, and I have bought wiley, and gleim after I stopped using Becker. I have tons of books now. I am starting a collection to burn in a great big fire when I am done. :O) I don't work as an auditor and I really struggled with not knowing how to do their job. This last time I studied I walked myself through the audit from start to finish. Becker's book teaches from the reports backwards (if it hasn't changed). I found it easier to put myself in the position of teaching myself their job and what I would have to do walking into a company and what I would have to know throughout and when I was wrapping it up. I wish I knew I passed and I can say what worked for me. I think everyone learns different & has different strengths. After trying a million different ways to study this (letures, questions, writing out the book, and stuff like that) I started by making note cards on only the questions I missed, and taking notes only the stuff I didn't know. When I went back to review I felt more confident.

You are so close to being done or better yet you are done. I am sure it hard to think positive since you have been so close before, but try. Each time you study you are learning or reinforcing more, and more.

Waiting to be a CPA – I wasn't sure if you would be back in before the middle of the month. I knew you were still waiting. Everyone from the beginning of the forum got their scores pretty much. Now we seem to all be waiting for AUD. The only thing I have seen about releases is someone that called NASBA and said don't expect them until the first week in April and then Jeff's new predicitons. I am hoping they will release some along the way or at least around the 18th of March, and not the first week of April. I think they will have to lock me up if they take that long. NASBA might have been just saying that so they don't get a million more phone calls. I am worried though about this extended testing period affecting things. I hope they let us January people go and not wait that long.

ILCPAGirl – Sounds like you need Northern Illinois University CPA review. This is the BEST review there is and since it sounds like you're in the Chicagoland area, you should check it out. Debra Hopkins is the director and she is God's gift to CPA candidates.

Anyone have any recommendations for FAR prep courses they found to be very helpful and more importantly efficient (other than Becker)?

    ? AUD - 87 (8/12/09)
    ? REG - 77 (1/15/10
    ? BEC - 77 (1/6/09 - Expired) / 79 (11/18/10)
    ? FAR - 75 (2/11/11)

glogo2384 – I have heard that NIU has an excellent program for FAR. You should look into it (less expensive than Becker also). They do live classroom and correspondence. They suggest the Gleim software and the Wiley book if you need extra supplements. I won't use Becker any longer, but can't speak much of the other programs that people use on here.
