Anyone else out there waiting for IL scores? I’m waiting on FAR, and a friend is waiting on BEC. Does anyone know how long it takes for the board to post after the AICPA releases? Jeff expects a BEC release from AICPA today. 🙂

Im right there with you! Seems like wayyy to many people are waiting for Audit and many people especially in Illinois. Maybe there are many new questions because audit will be changing soon? I would really hope its a reason other then failing scores 🙁

AFrieds – I just posted to you other comment to tell you we are here. I am with you. I will cry if I wait this long for a failing score. This is my fifth try at audit so we need to have some positive thoughts that we are waiting for good reasons.

Not sure why you even keep ‘waiting'. It's safe to say you're not going to get your score until wave 2 now…just try to relax and hope for the best. Not much we can do now, you know?

After spending over two years on one exam I will continue to wait and check every day until I see a passing score (instead of “waiting for score”. It is much easier than knowing they are constantly releasing, but you still want to stay informed. Eight weeks three days or four months, however long it is, it is going to come one of these days, and one of those days should be getting closer. I still study every day for my next exam, and I still check. You just never know what they are going to do. I have taken eight exams in total and seen something different every time. They released 273 (or something like that) more reg scores the other day. Who knows if they won't start releasing the January people earlier than the people that took it in Feb/March. You just never know. I like to be optimistic. :O)

I understand, just trying to make you a little sane, but sane and CPA = oxymoron.

I'm an IL Wave 2'er waiting for BEC results, so you've definitely got company out here!

I work about 10 minutes from the Hoffman Estates NIU satellite campus, so I've signed up to take the live NIU review classes throughout this entire year. I've taken BEC and AUD so far, and am currently in REG. The only drawback to the live classes is that these first three literally ran back to back from January through April, so there's really no time in between classes to take the tests. I'm basically sitting in class for REG right now, but I need to come home and study AUD on my own since that's the next section I'm taking. They offer the classes at other locations in the Chicagoland area at various times throughout the year, but with my work it's not feasible for me to drive out to Chicago, Naperville, or DeKalb, so Hoffman Estates it is.

I felt pretty well prepared for BEC, but I'll find out for sure what the end result was of all this once the scores are in. The best selling point of the AUD class is that Debra Hopkins teaches the vast majority of the sessions, and I can't argue with the poster that said she's God's gift to CPA candidates. She really does teach her stuff well, finds creative ways to get the material to stick in your head, and you believe 100% that she's invested in making sure that all her candidates pass. That being said, I haven't used Becker or Wiley at all, but based on my experience I would definitely reccomend taking NIU's AUD correspondence class if you need the extra help with Audit and don't live in the Chicagoland area.

    (IL) / BEC - 81 (2/20/10) / AUD - 94 (4/19/10) / REG - 86 (5/24/10) / FAR 96 (10/18/10) / DONE

Misterbum – Thanks for posting it is good to know there are other IL candidates that are out there waiting. We seem to have a quick turn around from IL compared to the NASBA states. The trick is just getting the AICPA to release them. You will have to let me know how you did I was thinking of taking the NIU BEC course. Anybody I have met that has taken NIU has been very pleased with it.

I am 8 weeks 6 days waiting on an AUD score, and studying FAR for the first week in April. I can't even believe I am thinking of taking an exam that first week again since I have been waiting for so long, but I feel I need to get a FAR attempt out there. I will also be taking REG on 5/12 otherwise my time runs out. I started studying REG at the end of last year and set it aside to do hopefully what will be a final attempt at AUD.

I wish you the best and let's all cross our fingers that next week is the week for releases or anytime sooner would be great (A girl can dream, right)!

I am praying for the 18th (sooner would be great, but realistically who knows). My fear is that they don't start releasing until April or the last two weeks of the month. Who knows because of the extended testing window.

Hopefully we find out soon! I was trying to hold off on scheduling AUD in April until I found out if I need to retake BEC or not. Dates were filling up, however, so I went ahead and scheduled AUD for Monday 4/19.

Soanxious – having to wait 8 weeks is crazy, I don't know what I would do with myself if I had to wait that long. I guess there's not much you can do other than just keep waiting and study for the next section.
