My application is with PA but I tested all sections at CA. when I apply for the license online, it has asked me to provide a recent Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) from the state police or other state agency for every state in which you have lived, worked, or completed professional training/studies for the past five (5) years.

I have been working at 3 difference states in the past 5 years… I am wondering if I have to do this check with all 3 states… does anyone have any tip or similar experience?

Did you live and work in all 3 states, or just traveled from one state to the other 2?
    Provide some more details.
    ___
If the instructions say every state where you lived and worked, I would probably do all 3 just to be safe.
If you lived and worked mainly in one state, you MIGHT get away with just doing the primary, but why risk it?
If you lived in 3 states, you can be sure that would most likely pop up on a background check so you should probably do all 3.

hey Recked thanks for replying! I lived and worked at Delaware from 2014 til 2016, moved to live at NJ during 2016 while working at NY for 2 years. and then I moved to CA last year and has been living and working here. I just sent the board email yesterday to see if i can be exempt from any state but you are right, to avoid any potential problems with background check, I should do all these states. it's such a headache! haha just when I thought all the CPA trouble is gone:)
