I’m a first time applicant and I’m wishing very hard to get August(very end of Aug) window for my FAR exam.

I request all my transcript to be sent to NASBA(NY) 2 weeks ago and I just called NASBA and they said they only have one transcript on file (I filed the total of 3 transcripts).

I called my school to find out when they actually sent out the transcript and they said it was sent out on 21st.

So I was thinking maybe transcripts are in the middle of processing to be uploaded in the system but I can’t help getting anxious because I don’t know if I could get August window or not.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get NTS as soon as NASBA has all transcripts in the file?

    Thank you!

When I first applied, it took NASBA two MONTHS to approve. I called them, and spent about two hours on the phone, only to discover that it was a problem with my payment method.

I gave them another form of payment, and within a couple of days, I was good to go.

I admit that I wasn't in a hurry to take the exam like you. I've been at my job for 9 years before I started studying for my exams.

No one is going to be able to give you an exact answer. It is a very long and often frustrating process. Especially if you are a first time applicant. My advice is to stay on top of it. I can count numerous times where I had to call NASBA and asking them why my NTS was taking so long only to find out it was 100% their fault and then had the NTS the next day.

If your school sent your transcripts on the 21st it seems to me they should have them by now. I'd even considering getting the transcripts yourself and sending them your self, cut out the middle man.

Stay on top if it, call multiple times if you have to, and you SHOULD be okay for testing in August. Just don't sit on your hands. You care about getting your NTS 1,000,000,000,000 times more than NASBA cares about getting it to you before this window closes.

Now what the hell do I do?

My school mailed my transcript out on 6/24 and I received my NTS 7/9 via email. I'm also from NY, a first time applicant and my first section is FAR.

Keep checking for open seats when you get your NTS. You can definitely find one in NY. Just think of it as fighting for a class seat during registration in college.

    Hope that helps…

It took about two months if I remember correctly. I took BEC on 3/1 and failed with a 73. They sent me my score letter with no score report. I contacted NASBA in order to get it and they told me on two occasions that they had sent it again. I still haven't seen one.

I took BEC again last night. We'll see if I get one this time. They need to get their act together.

    AUD - 79
REG - June 2016 (Thanks Nasba!)
    FAR - ugh
