Where do I start to review for BEC

I am using Becker and I started studying the last week in May. I have went through all of the chapters and have done all of the multiple choice in Becker. Even though I have been studying over a long period of time, my guess is that I have probably studied 65 hours probably lowballing that number since I have not kept track of my time. I am probably averaging a 75% on all the MCQs put together for all the topics. I feel like I have a broad overview of the material in my head, but I do not have a grasp and fully understand all the topics. I have went to cpareviewforfree.com and I usually do not do too good on their MCQs which is why I feel like I am not mastering the topics. I can take them right after watching the lecture or reading the book, but can I do it later and do I really have the material is what has gotten me worried.

I would love to hear people’s ideas about how they have reviewed and what has worked in the past, especially those using Becker. I have also got Jeff’s notes for BEC so I have that to review also.

I will probably receive my NTS on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week and I just looked on the prometric site and they have seats available on the 20th, so I think that is when I will take my test. That means I have 9 days to master the topics, any insights would be greatly appreciated, and how many hours do you think I should put into my final review to really get a grasp on things.

    TIA

I would work as many MCQs for Chapters 3 & 5 (stick to Becker, learn them inside and out) as you can between now and your test date. I would also strongly recommend you re-read the IT chapter at least 2-3 times in full; and if there is a more recent Becker Knowledge Base update for the IT, read that the night before the exam.

Thanks Doc, I know that I definitely need to read the IT chapter again. I have also taken notes, about 60 pages in all, over business structure, IT, and financial management and then I have Jeff's notes for Econ and IT (got lazy about cost measurement) I have heard some people copy their notes again. For anybody that has done that do you think it helped you in the long run? TIA Ness

I don't know about re-copying your notes, some people are successful doing it. I, on the other hand, feel better solving as many problems as I can in the software and worrying about the MCQs (Becker = way more intensive than the actual exam questions, so if you know Becker, you'll be solid). If you took good notes, just re-read them thoroughly.
