Switching from FAR to BEC in the middle of the game

So I’ve completed two parts of my exam already – Audit and Reg, finished up Audit in March and Reg in July.

I took BEC this past September and failed with a 69. I felt like the test was manageable, but my tactic of spending as much time as possible ensuring I had all of my MC correct and then focusing on the sims backfired on me, although it had worked for the previous two. I felt like the test was manageable, and if I had more time I could have pulled off at least a 73-75.

So since around early October, I’ve been studying for FAR using Becker. At the present moment, I’ve only gotten through Chapters 1-5 out of 10, and while I feel the material is easier to grasp than BEC (go figure), I don’t think I’ll have enough time to finish up my studying, especially since I hear people typically take 2/3 weeks on review alone. Granted there’s A LOT over overlap in FAR once you’ve studied for AUD, REG, and BEC, but I’m not sure I’d be ready for the curveballs or overlapping of chapters they’ll throw at me on the exam. Today I came to the conclusion that I should just take BEC again come 12/10, and focus majority of my time on MC and Sims…I’m talking in the ballpark of 1000-1500 MC questions and another 20 or so TBSs, as well as some supplemental reading up on COSO. I work full time as an auditor, but management has been a bit lienent as of late when it comes to working from home. What do you guys think? Is it plausible to pass BEC in a month after originally failing with a 69?

    AUD - 76
    BEC - 81
    FAR - 81
    REG - 77
    This too shall pass...
