first of all i heard people that did it in 4 weeks so it is certainly possible.

it all depends on 1. what you already know 2. how fast you can learn topics you are not strong on.

    3. if you are working full-time or if you can commit yourself fully to prepare, etc.

for example, my college major was economics so i only needed a brief review to refresh my memory. Take a peformance test to see where you stand and plan your studies around that. if you are using becker leave IT to the end because it doen't do a good job in that area i.e there isn't much value there.

imo BEC is the 3rd hardest test after reg and far.

    DONE!

I had been out of college for almost 10 years when I was working on the exam. I was also working full-time. I spent about 80 hours over 4 weeks preparing for BEC and walked away with a 94. It is doable if you put in the time.

3-4 weeks is enough if you dive deep and understand the concepts well. You may need longer if you can't commit due to working full-time. If you are using Becker, Chapters 1 and 2 you should be able to just glance over and answer questions well if you know your economics. Focus on Ch. 3 and 5. Don't skim variances. You need to know variances inside and out. Draw those variance diagrams out and memorize them, you should end up with 5 diagrams – DL, DM, and the 3 others that are expanded. They are easy to remember because they are all similar in some way. Draw them during the test. For IT – you either know it or don't but don't get too caught up in definitions and terminology. I compared the Wiley book and the Becker book on IT, and I thought Wiley's IT had too many misc. information.

Thank you everyone for the great advice…it is def. hard to study while working full time esp. in the field of accounting.

I gave up my life for 6 weeks studying for audit..and came out not knowing if I passed or not. Think I could have used an extra week. This is why I am worried about the time issue with BEC. I do not know if I am rushing it?
