After passing REG I am now trying to knock BEC out in October of this year.. I find that every time I start reading the material in Becker I start wondering off in la la land for a paragraph or so.. Then I have to read the entire paragraph again! I also find that the MCQ are super hard for B1 and B2 so far. I am going to do as many MCQ’s as possible to drill in the processes, but I need to get a grasp on the reading for the conceptual stuff……… Anyone else have this problem!?!

Yep… the B in BEC stands for boring. 😛 My main problem is that I can't pay attention during Olinto's lectures…

    REG: ***92*** (5/14/14)
    FAR: ***83*** (8/17/14)
    BEC: ***89*** (10/3/14)
    AUD: ***86*** (2/22/15)

    This whole exam is boring…

    AUD - ✔
    FAR - 11/29/14

CPAExcel, Ninja MCQs, and a sh*t ton of coffee

I TOTALLY agree… I'm bored to tears in B1. When I saw the “BORING” title to this post, I thought it HAS to be BEC.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. And that possibly REG will be better…

    FAR - 90
    AUD - 91
    BEC - 86
    REG - 87

    BEC was terrible.

Test was completely random and felt like it was stuff I hadn't seen in Becker (still got in the mid 80s though!). Chapter 1 and 2 are brutal. I think 3 of the 6 lectures are over 4 hours long.

@Sarah1421 I think the REG simulations are really difficult and confusing.. I passed REG on my 3rd attempt with an 85.. I am just about fed up with this exam.. I'm ready to be done with it.. So I am seriously trying to pass the other 3 ASAP! I want to pass them the first time through on my next tests!

Yup…same issues here! This is my last section, and my patience/focus is wearing thin! B2 MC had me pretty frustrated as well, so it's not just you. Cost accounting came easily to me in school, but those Becker overhead variance questions have been killing me.

And then there is COSO…it's a CRIME B1 is soooo boring! haha

    FAR - 95
    AUD - 98
    REG - 92
    BEC - 10/4/14

I don't think bec was that boring but the Becker material for bec was sooooo boring. Especially the lectures. Olinto talks way too much for bec. I was OK with him for far. If I were to take bec again I'm not sure if I'll use Becker…

For me BEC was most boring, especially COSO, IT, and Cost. I hate hate hate Cost. FAR wasn't boring to me, just LOOOONNNNG. I didn't mind REG once I got past business law. I'm using CPA Excel, so it's not just Becker making BEC dull.

    B – 91

    A – Scheduled 11/29/14

    R – 96

    F – 8/29/14 – Waiting….

Olinto may be boring (I fell asleep during several lectures), and the material may not have been my favorite BUT I could hear Olinto's voice and the stinking mnemonics for my exam. I can't seem to remember anyone else's, but I can I remember his. “GICE GICE baby…” “When I say 2 you say SOC…” So hang in there!

    AUD - 99
    BEC - 97
    REG - 91
    FAR - 1/8/16

bec was the only exam I enjoued, it was the material from classes I liked in college, and I work in software so the IT was interesting enough ( I lied, it was horrible)

    FAR- (2) 64, (5)74, (7)83 (Over achiever!)
    AUD- (3) 70, (4) 75

I used Jeff's memory aids to help memorize the variance stuff in BEC… I can't remember them anymore, but they are in the NINJA notes and audio and after reviewing that stuff a million times Jeff's cheesy little memory aid is what got me through… Agreed it is boring and that IT stuff seemed so out of date. Oh the joys of studying for the CPA exam.

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.
