hi guys.

How are most of you guys studying for the Written Communication part? Do you practice those as you go along? I am using Becker and in Ch 3 and so far it gives me anxiety to even look at WC. I feel like i don't even fully understand the topics to write an essay so i am just skipping those. Now i am wondering if that will cost me later.

@Crunchtime I used Wiley and Gleim – SIMS questions are more challenging than Becker though I find Becker MCQs are more than enough. How's your progress? I am on Chapter 2 now and man it is only worth 10%-14% and there are a ton of homework questions on this topic!

I would say take the multiple choice that covers everything at this point and see where you are weak and review those sections then rinse and repeat. I was in your position in REG and got an 80 doing that.

Cpa need

When is your test? I would say start focusing on those about 2 weeks before the exam when they don't count as much and you are able to work through the anxiety.

Hey guys, I am taking BEC in May. What should I prepare for SIMs? Since it is all about writing. I am pretty concerned since English is my second language. Although I graduated in US and have been here for years, but not recently writing a lot after I graduated. To me, writing is not just natural responding without thinking of grammars and vocabulary. It takes me longer in writing than computing or reading. Anyone has tips, I'd really appreciate that.

@workhard, I am not using Becker. Do you know how many sentences we should write per paragraph? I think I am ok with writing patterns. Just not sure how long we should write.

Hi Fellas/Ladies

Taking BEC on May 25 and gone through Chapter 2 materials. I just started the MCQs in Becker tonight and they are killing me. I dont even know where to start to answer the questions when i read them. The answers are like 4-5 steps. Any suggestions on how to get through these MCQs with a little dignity?

@Ssbknyc Chapter 2 blows and I'm pretty sure it will be tested heavily on the exam. It is took me forever to get through and there are some questions that still have me scratching my head. I think the key is to get it done and move on but keep coming back to chapter 2 to nail down the formulas and the various ways to answer questions. It's basic algebra and that means that there will be multiple steps and different ways to get answers.

The sims are only 15%. I know it could make or break someone if it comes down to a few points but I honestly wouldn't make it a priority. I plan on looking over the formats which I suspect will get me enough points. Am I going to write more than a few lines? No way.

@jsch8912 I am doing ok, I will be finishing the last chapter tomorrow probably, I have gone through all the questions once, next week I will be just re-reading and writing all of the notes down. The final couple week I will go though all of the MCQ questions at least 2 more times. How was your strategy for FAR and REG? Similar to BEC?

Hi all.

I am planning to sit for BEC end of May, I have only 4 weeks. I just finished FAR, i dont know if 4 weeks is realistic but I have nothing to lose. I am planning to use Becker, but I will not watch video because I dont have much time. To supplement am planning to use WTB for MCQ
